I've been hearing a lot about the rapture lately and, to tell you the truth, it's ticking me off. Not to be mean or anything, but shouldn't we journey across the globe teaching people the way of Jesus while letting all the details (like the rapture) work themselves out on their own?

Who cares when Christ is returning? That's irrelevant to those who are truly suffering in the world. When I had a lot of time on my hands, I would think about such matters. But now that I live in a city where the poor are all around me, I realize that the rapture, it's time and place, is irrelevant to their lives.

Jesus spoke little about the rapture and heaven; he focused more on the here and now--on life on this planet.

It's fun to speculate, but I try not to forget the poor and oppressed, the sick and lonely in the cities where I live. Sometimes I think of all I could have done to build God's dream on earth instead of thinking about the rapture, something I probably know nothing about.

Well, I care. If we all get raptured tommorrow then this troubled world would have only seven more years of sadness, poverty, hatred and then Jesus would come to be with us forever. It would be great because then my family wouldn't have to watch my dad slowly die of cancer.

not so canukie, though i be born canuk too, let it be known to you it ain't pie in the sky, it's cake on the plate right here on earth as it is in the Holy Spirit of love of the brotherhood.

though you may want all physical suffering to go away as the fellow above wrote in his post these things do not disapear.
the literalists will write strange stuff convincing you by inculcation, using extrapoltion techniques and 'bible gymnastics ' to make you a believer of some weird 'rapture thing' or that the whole world will be healed of all it's ills, but """"""trust not in lying words, that men say, the temple of the lord is here, or the temple of the lord is there, for many will come in my name espousing faith based theology and corrupting my words with their false hopes and unreasonable expressions and promises of heavens above , but i tell you truthfully, do not follow them for they speak lies in my name and our Father's name. For a business and political reasons do they speak such as this"

that paragraph is an accumulation of about or six verses both from OT and NT, all is verifiable but the meat of it comes from Jer 7:1-11 go there and you will not much of what is said is always in the heart of Jesus and the Holy Prophets, including rev ch 2 & 3.

the point you make implies that the faith will be taken away physically and that is just not so.
hear that faith is the foundation, and works will prove you whether you are what you say.
and that works are based upon doing the good works, deeds of righteousness.

so whough your father may be dieing of cancer, all are dieing of some disease currently and the most wicked and evil is false doctrine and hope,
that is the real WMD in this world of deserts.

cultures of sin, born into raised into with varying kinds of physical ailments including the disease of the false ego thinking i am this diseased body,

If the spirit is healed so the when the body is shed, so the spirit returns to God, and that was the actions and powers of the Holy Spirit working in Jesus,.

transforming the sick, healing those who were told they were sick b/c they sinned and were suffering in diseases, was, is the healing powers of God.

So your father still has time to be healed though his body is failing him, he need with faith believe and be healed and you need not bend your mind a million ways thinking how sad this world is but you need too be healed and be blessed in God's grace and love.

peace unto you all

go tell your father, i love him.

is Christ's return irrelavent to the suffering masses? for when Christ returns, the justice they have cried out for for so long will have come, and their oppressors shall melt in a fervent heat and be blown away as the chaff. the suffering masses expect a just God to come from the sky and kick some butt.

in one sense yes , 'kick butt', it's odd, but can be applied, for this day, words simply imply "rock their world".
the use of sky comes from one of the translations, and not KJV, which uses heavens, or air, but even there you must see those words as figures of speech for the Spirit or Holy Spirit, which is the same as heavens,
As Jesus came in the flesh and body of man, the same is the comforter who appears amidst the the full and throne as one like them.

now angels too are people, the angel that entered the prison and loosed the chains from pauls arms was a sent person by God's majesty to release Paul. It wasn't some flying baby cherub or magic houdini trick as thought of by many.

It takes a simple approach to hearing who amd what all is going on, though in one sense it's marvellous and magical. You will see that it is also very real and happening in the physical.

do not be fooled by false prophets, telling you as the scripture prophecies that they will say it's not time yet. that is the standard for those in high places who are attached to their positions, profit and fame.
these leaders today are you noisesome beasts and are a very intense bunch of liberalists using God's word and name in vain.

that isn't rocket science.

so beware the time is at hand,
these days are very different for the promise is coming and not just by those who are poor and without clothing but many are with plenty of garments and will be a part of the promise. keep in mind this one important point. As it is writtten, no amount of gold or silver can buy you a ticket into the kingdom, god is not fooled but that you be well aware that it's all about the soul and the spirit be translated and transformed into oneness of the new spirit of love of God, hence through harmony, compasssion, kindness, charing caring and trusting itn Truth shall the kingdom prosper,
The accurate defintion of prosperity is in many good friends and trusting lioving relationships. this too can be verified in the OT.
there are some groups who see wrongly and interpret incorrectly the words to prosper but in time all shall be revealled.

simply put what good is all your gold if you cannot share the goodness with others, similarily what good is all your kindness and love if you cannot share that spirit with others?

This is God's promise and it is written like this, in the Text, over and over.

peace the days are shortened and the time is at hand

It matters very much that Christ is returning to earth. When? Not soon enough.

God did not leave us without signs to look for his return and we who are knowledgeable will be blessed because of it -- that's why I care.

this second web site though long has much good stuff in it, though i skipped through i can tell you that alot of thought went into it and i concur with much of the writings though the tendency is to make it all magical we shall see it all very real when time comes.

soon and for you who think not soon enough that's a good sign, just be ready and be sober and desire to turn your life over and be willing to walk in the spirit of love. start praying,

this is your time between times.

your thread is a sign of someone who thinks that they are ok and lives in the concept that jesus died 2000 years ago and all they need is faith.

you are wrong about jesus not speaking much about his future return, almost 1/2 of what he addressed or atleast what the gospel writers recorded of his 3 years of speaking was related to the future.
rapture is a poor choice of words since it implies the 'pie in the sky' theory.
when is really cake on your plate, right here on earth.

addressing the poverty in the city, is one thing that will come naturally, but it's the character to start with in the coming of the son whcih comes first with shout, and announcement and then the clouds or army see Heb 12:1 for confirming a "cloud of wintenesses' implying that cloud referred to people as elsewhere written a cloud of ants, referring to army or many.

coming in the clouds has always been a good game for literalists and writers to make alot of money selling mytholigical stories about jesus. it's been easy b/c they made millions to believe he walked away into the clouds like as if i just left like some supernatural freak, not unlike they made millions to believe he walked above the lake. all this plus the ''magical mystery tour'' of coming to take you away, ( oh sorry, those were beatle lyrics) wherein the heads of the churches made poeople to believe he made fish appear and bread appear and even just looked at wate and poof it became wine .
all this hokey pokey literal mishandling of the english translations and the efforts by the phd theologians to play 'Bible gymanastics' has put the whole Bible into a tailspin of mythology but has been easy to sell ideas of Jesus coming back on the 'santa sleigh ride ' looking for the children who have been good , not naughty but nice. and poof off to the sky they go, to go be with jesus in heaven , YUP AHHUH THAT'S RIGHT , JESUS YUP , IN THE SKY , YUP IN THE RAPTURE YUP, THERE HE COMES AND THERE WE GO YUP. OH BOY EH?
ISN'T THIS FUN WERE GOING TO BE WITH JESUS IN THE SKY, YUP.

see how foolish it all is, sitting with pie in the sky and with jet aiplanes roaring by,

oh now you go to the place where you see sputniks and astronuts being launched from the deadly, cape carnivore YUP.

rapture is a ruptured theory, and spilling your mind into that is a useless waste of time.

people don't read and only think that everyone with a phd is the authority, well atleast 90% are that way , b/c society and it's set up lead youto believe that the phd 's are it. YUP.

so when you come down from being ruptured, come and see me and we'll enjoy love and happiness right here on earth as it is in heaven, ie the spirit of loving perfection with God.

i know you guys are having a hard time with this idea of perfection , but jesus repeated all day long 'be perfect; live in perfection or you are living in sin.

stop you sin ways and walk in God. Do you think there is adultry or consensual sex in the spirit of heaven, or idolatry, flesh killing in the land of harmony, do you think that men and women walk about in lies and hypocracy, and have ulterior motives to screw you over.

or do you see harmony as a place of loving exchanges with all openess and freedom of truth and trust and expressions of loving harmony amongst all the living.
Do you really think that it;s so way off pie in the sky floating experience of hanging around clouds and you in some weird bliss.

or do you think their are planets out there that there is harmony and bodies and all natural sweet smells and the entire life is in eternity and all peoples are walking and living and enjoying all kinds of games and so forth, without transgression.

try heaven or peace of earth first and we'll let you in on the other.

Here comes the sun, da da da da, here comes the sun, and i say, it's allright.

oh another beatle memory dropped by.

when the beatles came to town what happened,
that's right the world was raptured , just see what happened.
long haired freaky people became the age of hair raising and madness set in.

do you remember, i do , i was rght there, raptured, too. lol.

Rev. 22:11-12

For it tells us when Jesus will come back soon!

At the time of what?

reward

Now read Rev. 11:18 for the 7trh trumpet must sound first.
only then will come reward time

That is when Jesus will leave heaven and come back to begin to make His enemies His footstool.
Hebrews 1:13

________________________first off heaven is a state of conscience which implies a perfect spirit.

can you understand that?

jesus said "i'm in the world, but not of it' which implies he's in heaven or in onesness of God

this is 99% of your problem_____________hear carefully

you are all thinking 'heaven' is somewhere else and not of this world in a physical sense and it's some planetary , pie in the sky concept or some flying angelic kinda of lalal dreamstate and that ain't conceivable.

this is you essential problem!!! why?

b/c IT HAS BEEN INCLUCATED INTO YOUR MINDS LIKE THE COLOUR BLUE IS BLUE , THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS YOU ARE BELIEVING IN A FALSE CONCEPT.

This is precisely the major part of what is said in the OT about the priests, pastors and prophets, ie levites, building a promise on lies or telling all the masses that fear not what anyone can do for you all you need to do is offer animal sacrifices at the solemn feast and you will be saved.
remember this??? or did you not read the OT, probably the latter.

believe it or not !!!!!!!!!!!you are like in the same condition as when the OT prophets were speaking, except these days it's """"""jesus that is crucified a fresh on the cross""""""" and some day soon when i open the seals you will all understand this.

and to address your point that at rev 11:18 jesus will return from heaven is incorrect. He's in heaven now' which is to say in perfection', and is present at the beginning of the throne judgement as writtten in ch 5:5
so be not fooled as to the sudden appearence.

however

listen carefully, to those who finally see him as the son and whenever that happens , that person is also transferred at that time in spirit and moves into the heavenly conscience seeing that heaven is within, finally.
It's a matter of removing all personal desires and cleansing of the spirit and seeing the spirit as wholly of God and in God.

did you understand that?

Here are the words of God the Holy Spirit speaking through messiah recorded by John
in rev 3 :18 " i counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in fire, that thou mayest be rich, and white raiments , that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakeness do not appear, and anoint thine eyes with the eyesalve of love, that thou mayest see."

do you understand all this verse,? As i've repeated many times, do you understand the calling of the Lord to be sober and watch therefore for now is the time?

hear this or not?

no consider your next statement.

I care there are too many people who are not saved and we need to reach them before he comes back to take us.

God Bless :prayer:

excellent point. We can get sidetracked. What Jesus did make clear was , that he is coming back and when the last trump sounds we will rise to meet him. also importantly we are not subject to his wrath, but in this world you will have tribulation, if they persecuted me they will persecute you.

While I may agree that the “rapture” is not what many think it is it certainly is not the wicked being taken. When Paul speaks of it he is clear that it is the saints, of which he himself is a part, that are taken to meet The Lord in the air. Jesus states that His elect will be gathered, note His elect are not the wicked. Judgment comes upon the world which means the wicked will be in the world. The beast leads the armies of the world in the battle against Christ at His return and it is clear that they will be present on this earth. It is true that God will establish a kingdom here on earth. Remember the destiny of the saints is to be wherever He is.

Of course it’s ticking you off, you don’t know anything about it and it’s easy to dream up negative ideas about something you don’t know of. Now for those that do know and believe, it definitely propels them to do more for the coming Kingdom of God since the time is so short. So before you blow up at someone over it, you should figure out what it actually is and how it effects those that believe it. :)
