  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, that depends on how good your singing is. :D

I dunno either. Now get off your computer, wash my laundry and do my homework or I'll flog you.

And not in the kinky way.

Does this sound reasonable? Equitable?
Well, no. But try telling that to my mum. :p

Seriously though, I'm thinking of the objections to slavery on the basis of freedom of choice. e.g, I'll do it if I want to, not because I'm ordered to. What Eudaimonist said before:
If you can't make decisions about your own life as an adult, you are being prevented from living a human life.
But this gets me thinking. What entitles us to freedom in the first place?

Freedom is a Christian principle. Christ Jesus came to set the captives free. It was/is understood that being held captive is bad. To be a slave is to literally be owned by someone else. This means that there is no such thing as guaranteed anything. The fact of the matter is that giving anyone that kind of power ofver someone is dangerous because humans are evil. Given absolute power they will be corrupted. Now in Christ, we do willfully submit, to Him because He is incorruptable
