So your offering a bet about talking animals.

When I say talking animals I don't mean animals that just mimic us. I mean animals that can hold a conversation.

Do you subscribe to modern taxonomy?

If we have to take time to "consider" every single claim, then we wouldn't have the time to do anything else.

Claims are infinite in number. A pre-filtering of claims is required for practical purposes.

I require reasons to consider an idea. This has nothing to do with being open or closed minded.

To be closed minded means that you will not consider an idea no matter how valid it is or how much evidence supports it.

If you are not willing to consider the claims of a person who claims to have seen a dragon change into a beautiful blonde that made love to him, then then again turn into a dragon and fly away to the planet Venus, then you are not being "closed minded". Then you are being rational.

Unfalsifiable claims have no merrit. They are infinite in number and "considering them" is a gigantic waste of time.

If I felt inclined to, I could trust the person who claimed that and believe it. That would be a choice I could make,

Don't you have a reality filter?

If my best friend told me he had a dog in his garage I would probably believe him. Sure, he might be lying but Hes making a realistic statement. Dogs exist, garages exist, people keep dogs. Sounds reasonable to me and would probably believe it without evidence... Because it's an ordinary claim.

However if my best friend said he had a fire breathing Dragon in his garage then I would reject it instantly. I wouldn't choose not to believe him... I would just automatically reject his claim without consideration. The only way I could believe him is if he provided evidence, because this is not an ordinary claim.

You're an armchair philosopher. I have the wisdom of the universe inside the Bible.

Haha, I don,t own an armchair.

I have the infinite wisdom of Torah,

Though it would take 2-3 more lifetimes to be able to say, "Now I,m starting to get it."

In the meantime, is there anyone else I can talk to up there?

I don't know, I've never heard Satan's side of things.

Whenever you hear that little voice in your head while you're at the store saying, "Steal that item! It doesn't cost much anyway. Besides, the store is owned by rich people. They owe it to you!" That's when you're hearing Satan's side of things.

So the most evil thing in the universe, the prince of darkness, is busy manipulating people's brains so that their minds produce thoughts of taking candy without paying? Does this terrible evil also hop around in our skulls amongst specific neurons so that think of "naughty" words?

Satan might be more evil if he just stole our shoe laces or something.

I don't hear voices in my head at the store telling me to steal things or that the store 'owes' me.

At most I hear myself think 'ooo, Snickers! Those are packed with peanuts!' It doesn't occur to me to steal them.

Do... you hear voices telling you things in your head, Aldebaran? What do they say?

So, you have a brick phone? :p I have an iPhone: the Bible plus the New Testament, and Siri (Jesus) talks to me every day.

Satan might be more evil if he just stole our shoe laces or something.

He also says things like, "Go on a Christian message board and write snarky comments to Christians".

He's being tongue in cheek, but Satan's spiritual thinking is something we have inherited. He also influences us indirectly and sometimes directly.

Are you suggesting that there is a gene for "Satan's spiritual thinking?"

Is this hyperbole, or do you think there is a gene for a "sin nature?"

I'm telling you simply that we all have a sin nature. We were born into it. It's not a physical thing, so I wouldn't say there's a gene. It's spiritual, not genetic.

Regardless of what we're eating, my expectation was correct.

The video was made by someone besides him. It takes something he said in a debate and adds graphics. I agree with Harris on some things and disagree with him on others. I have that ability because I have the mental capacity to listen to what he says and evaluate it. Because you lack the mental capacity to even listen to his statements, you lack the ability to evaluate it.

Here's an idea for you - how about you stop referring to your deity as God? I find your deity, Yahweh, to be a reprehensible figure, disgusting and terrible. The actual creator of the universe, the real God, is likely much more intelligent.

Now, let's repeat the question:

So, before God and others, please answer this one question honestly, knowing that a false statement is sin to Yahweh:

Did you or did you not watch the entire video before replying to it?

Replying 6 minutes later, obviously shows he didn't watch the video or only watched a small portion.

I have posted that video before myself, because it sums up so well, how I feel the Christian belief system is immoral and Harris nailed the reasons why.

If you want even more fun, watch the entire debate between Harris and Craig and you will see, Craig had no response to Harris' points, because they were indeed an accurate description of Craig's position.

At the end of that debate, Harris had Notre Dame students cheering for him because of the points he made and the fact, that Craig refused to answer a very pointed question from one of the students, because it didn't relate directly to the debate topic.

The voices in my head tell me to do my homework, but I shall not relent to the evil spirits!
