Has anybody here noticed that it seems to be heterosexual men who seem to be most interested in gay topics?
To those of you who seem so fascinated with what we gay people "do": it's not much different from what you folks do.
We get up in the morning, have morning mouth, drink our cups of coffee, go to our jobs, come home, fix dinner, watch TV or do some sort of recreational activity in the evening, and go to bed. That's it. We have mortgages and utilities and car payments to pay. Once or twice a year, we go on vacation. By and large, most of us are pretty darned boring.
We gay folks don't discuss the mechanics of straight sex or straight relationships, even though statistics show (and it's our direct experience) that over half of heterosexual marriages fail (some on the flimsiest of excuses); plus the fact that many heterosexuals cannot seem to resist the urge to make out in grocery stores, drug stores, bus stops, and other public places where everybody can watch.
Several of you have gone on at length about how "disgusting" you think gay relationships are. Given my druthers, I'd prefer not to turn on TV to watch almost nude heterosexuals draping themselves all over each other and/or making out and/or simulating sex with each other, but that doesn't seem to bother some of you straight folks as much as to gay men holding hands. I wonder why.
We've learned to deal with some habits of straight folks, particularly some straight men, which we gay folks happen to find pretty distasteful. We'd appreciate the same forbearance you all expect, s'il vous plaît.
