the problem with people finding different things important is the hypocrisy of believing that whats ok for the Republicans to do is not ok for the Democrats to do.
For example, generic Republican says:
"Biblical values are important to me, therefore i cant vote for Obama because his views on gay marriage go against the bible"
but if biblical values are something important to them, then they completely ignore McCains endorsement and approval of divorce.
If who a political parties leader associates themself with is important. then its important to take both sides into account. not just to say that the Democrats are dodgy because of who Obama delt with in the 70's but ignore completely the Bush-Saudi-Terrorist connection.
i completely understand and agree that what is important to some people might not be important to others................but what i'm saying is to have consistancy. and if something is important to you, dont be a hypocrite about it!
but you don't know my stance? how have i been consistent? notice don't assume about me based on what others say. and how does Bush come into McCain?
Now that I'm off the phone...
Why are you talking to me about the generic Republican? You are quoting me, therefore I'd expect that you have something against what I said, but instead you keep getting distracted by things that have few to do with my opinions.
Again, the only reason I posted here was to state my personal stance, so I am not responsible for what others say. If you want to argue in that fashion, find a Republican who believes that way to do it with, because obviously neither of us are on the same page and it would only be a waste of time.
Okay, so Republicans may also use Obama and then excuse something else...
How can you infer from them and assume that I do the same?
Please...if you're going to quote me, bring up something that's relevant. Do not try to knock down personal views of mine when you have to associate them to the faulty side of others to do it. I don't have the time to sit here and describe every minute detail of why I believe the way I do, so I simply don't. Do I ignore the mistakes of McCain? Again, of course not. But just because I don't bring it up here, or I don't switch to the Obama side does not mean I'm being a hypocrite.
The problem with finding different things important...
I wasn't talking about picking and choosing. I'm talking about people who truly believe certain things are more important, and you cannot argue with that person if they truly believe so. When I vote for something, I feel very strongly, so... so what? Are you going to argue against how I was raised? That is what I meant...what you talk about is completely different and exists in any party, not just the Republicans.
