Fine -- I'll use another example:
Is Israel the Promised Land?
(Expos4ever, are you getting this?)
Fine -- I'll use another example.Promised by who? I dont believe in god(s) so I certainly reject the idea that god(s) promised anything.
Israel as it stands is a political construct in the middle east.
Fine -- I'll use another example.
Are we born with a sin nature that resides in our flesh?
Ya -- you reject just about everything, don't you?Sin is a metaphysical idea that I reject.

Nihilism: the philosophical viewpoint that suggests the denial or lack of belief towards the reputedly meaningful aspects of life. Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism, which argues that life is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.
I confess that I don’t follow your reasoning, as per usual.Fine -- I'll use another example:

I confess that I don’t follow your reasoning, as per usual.
As a nihilist, do you get depressed if you find something in life that is meaningful? or are you able to ignore it as just a figment of your (or someone's) imagination? My life is very meaningful to me (and my family) thank you very much.
That's alright.I confess that I don’t follow your reasoning, as per usual.
As a nihilist, do you get depressed if you find something in life that is meaningful? or are you able to ignore it as just a figment of your (or someone's) imagination?
QV please:What on earth are you writing about?
I just wrote that my life is meaningful for me. In fact, I live a very happy and comfortable life with very few wants.
Nihilism is the belief that all values are baseless and that nothing can be known or communicated. It is often associated with extreme pessimism and a radical skepticism that condemns existence. A true nihilist would believe in nothing, have no loyalties, and no purpose other than, perhaps, an impulse to destroy.
Not familiar with the term.Im not that kind of nihilist, Im a value-nihilist.
Not familiar with the term.
It seems to be a contradiction.
Would Friedrich Nietzsche agree with you?
Nope.Read Axel Hägerström and perhaps Immanuel Kant ...

Knowledge is dangerous?
Sounds like he's advocating:Celsus, a 2nd century pagan apologist in speaking of Christianity wrote "For why is it an evil to have been educated, and to have studied the best opinions, and to have both the reality and appearance of wisdom? What hindrance does this offer to the knowledge of God? Why should it not rather be an assistance, and a means by which one might be better able to arrive at the truth?"
What do you mean by "repeating"evolution?Atomic Theory, Germ Theory and the Theory of Gravitation are all repeatable in a laboratory.
Try repeating evolution.
