you've gone through alot and i understand i've missed so many days of school k-12 it was crazy i lost friends, but maybe it wasn't God's will for you to be healed maybe oneday you are going to meet someone and be able to change their life by your story. In missing so many days of school and having my friends abandon me in my time of need i learned how to depend on God and when i felt my lowest even though i didn't want to necessarily read the bible i searched and studied and prayed and became very close with God. God can help you so much all you need to do is let him back into your life and develop a close relationship with him read and study His word listen to tapes of christian speakers, read christian books, pray with all your heart, but when you pray also give God time to talk to you. You think God ignored you but God doesn't yell to get your attention he's quiet maybe you weren't listening or maybe you were distracted. i honestly think God can help you through anything and everything you are going through.
God Bless

Ok then, lets begin.

I have had a mild case of CP since I was born. I was lucky that it wasn't worse. I was able to survive because apparently my twin sister died before I was born. I'm not sure I really understand it, but those are the basics. I was nearly unable to walk when I turned 7, but my teachers all consider me quite bright. With some OP and CP, (Sorry if the termology is incorrect), I was able to get my body to work again, but I still have problems.

I can't run fast for long at all, I need to use a computer for work because my hand sometimes cramps up when I write, and I just couldn't be a normal kid, like I always wanted to be.

Just when I was getting over that, I got sick. I got positive on all my Strep tests for about 3 months, and missed almost 1 semester of school. I was also extremely tired, and fell asleep in class. I was a Christian at the time and I prayed and prayed, yet recieved no answer from God or some sort of Miracle.

I still have both mild CP and what has been dianosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which most likely will still take another year, and may not make me feel completely nomal again for quite some time yet. I'm sorry, but I just don't feel like I can worship a God who barely allows me to even enjoy a breath of life, somebody who makes me different, takes away something that I excess at and prohibits me from being able to do it for an extended amount of time, and then giving me a disease that takes forever to go away when I have enough to get on with. If I just could recieve some sign from God who would know how tortured I'm feeling, then I would feel better, but he just doesn't seem to care, and I thus came to the conclusion that the kind God in most religions most likely doesn't exist.

I am truly quite interested in Atheism . . .

  • Please to explain AGAIN: Just how life got started . . .

  • Please to explain again: Just how the very first ELECTRON or ATOM (not Adam) came to be

Truly, I want to know!!:help:

Severing--

Sorry the experiences you have had. God allows and does things for His Glory and many times we don't understand how and why at first. Within time we understand why. I have had a medical condition that was life threatening but this did glorify God. How? Many times people would ask me how can you be so positive. My brother said I was the most positive person during my illness. No, I didn't do anything but the Holy Spirit in me did. He gave me much peace that was overwhelming during this difficult time. It strengthened me even more spiritually. God doesn't always heal and sometimes he does. He does what helps us the most spiritually long term wise not short term.

I must get the name of this individual for you; she has CP and goes around in her wheel chair and speaks. She is nationally known and is a christian; her testimony is amazing. I will get back with you on this asap; I need to look around to find her and email some people concerning her name. She has been on t.v. and national radio. Some books that are good are: The Thorn in the Flesh by R.T. Kendall and When God Lets You Down: Trusting Again after Pain and Loss by Alex Gee.

The apostle paul had a thorn in the flesh for life and so did timothy- they weren't healed physically. God used them tremendously.

You cannot not believe just because something doesn't go your way. Life is not fair, but it could be so much more worse for you. I have Chronic Fatigue too..but I am praising God because I know this isnt the end. I look at God's word and know his enduring promise, that if I trust in him I wil have eternal everlasting life...he will give me a new body free of pain. If you can endure this life and live for Christ you will be able to receive everlasting perfect life. There is pain in this world because of sin..thats just how it is. All the sickness in the world is b/c man had fallen in the beginning and now Satan can wreck havok on the world and people's bodies. God allows for sickness at times to show us, HEy life doesnt last forever, he wants us to slow down and come back to him..and yet some people still dont. Just trust, and sometimes Gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers...he knows what is best...not us.

A friend of ours used to work for a camp for troubled teens, one of those teens commited suicide and our friend ask many fellow believers, what do you say to someone who wants to commit suicide. Everyone tried to give an answer but in the end, there was no answer. The same applies to you, if you are bent on being an atheist, you will be, and nothing anyone can say will change that. What disturbs me is that there are other ways to know if God is real, if there is a purpose for staying alive. Let me see if I can say this another way.

I like mayo on my spam sandwiches. But in order to make the sandwich right, it needs mayo on both slices of bread. When my children make that sandwich for me, they almost always put mayo only on one slice of bread. Which is the right way to make the sandwich? Which is the wrong way? Life is kind of like that, as is God. He doesn't always act the way we want Him to, or do the things we want Him to, but that doesn't make Him wrong or not there. Sometimes, He just wants to reveal Himself to you in a different way. I have been for many many years now, suffering with something I beg God to take from me. But still it is there, Paul also dealt with this. And yet, many years ago, I was working third shift and the nights were very dark and I began to grow depressed because of the darkness and prayed that God would give me back the moon. That night, the moon and stars shown bright. Were they from God, I don't know, nor do I know that if I was removed from this situation, it would be from God. But what I do know is that God is where you look for Him. And sometimes, those things are simply enough to convince us that God is real.

I guess what I am saying is, God doesn't work according to what we want, but rather according to what we need, to be the people we should be. When you loose sight of that, I would expect you to loose sight of God.

As christians sometimes we forget that what we want may not be God's will. God hears your prayers but he will answer them in his way and his time.

We blame God for everything wrong in our lives and don't realize truly how much we have and that is what we should be focused on.

I am praying for you and for your healing, physically and spiritually.

How could a few atoms and electrons..whatever come to be a whole universe? How could it form the human brain and all its complexity...the body and how it operates??How could it create water colorless and ordorless yet nothing can live without it...how did all the fruits and such come to be...God!! God knew what we needed....he made the world for his glory.

severing

there are alot of people who came to the conclusion that God must not be real, your not the only one.
there are alot of people who where christians but came to the conclusion that it wasnt really real and even though it was sad...they walked away from it becuase they couldnt believe it anymore.
that was the case for me.

when all christianity comes down to is what someone else says happens for them...its not enough. Good luck man, believe whats in your heart, what you really believe down deep not trying to be anything else...
and no one can blame you.

walking away from christianity can be a hard road, take your time in whatever decision you make and take it easy, relax and do what you feel is true and right. and dont let anyone blame you when you do the only thing that seems right to you.

Sinning is the easiest thing to do . . .

and MORE than a lot of people do it . . .

Anyway, back to the OP

Severing, I am so sorry that you have had such a terrible time. It is horribly unfair. I had a friend in my hometown youth group growing up who had an awful time just trying to get by and feel like everyone else. Then to top it off, his mother got cancer and was dead in two months, his father lost his business, and due to illnesses, he was unable to graduate high school with his class. He would wonder why all this was happening when he was trying so hard to be a good Christian. All I could do was listen and offer the hope that the Bible promises. You have seen alot of that here.

God doesn't promise us a bed of roses. What He does do is help us to bandage the wounds the thorns leave. When we ask why we have to suffer if He loves us, He will tell us that there is a reason, even if we don't know it now. I have seen some tragic circumstances come to reveal His eventual plan. Some I am still waiting on. That is MY proof. It isn't instantaneous and it might not be in the way I want, but God DOES reveal Himself. Part of having faith is knowing the answer is coming, and maintaining in the meantime.

Please don't give up on Him. The more problems you have, the more you need His support. Try thanking Him for every affliction and see if that changes you in any way. And please keep us posted on what is going on.

Lot learned not to question God. We don't know from one minute to the next what our actions might lead to. How can we begin to question what is the meaning of any given life. The things we do now have a far reaching effect on many aspects of the future. How can we even fathom the complexity of it, much less come to understand what those outcomes might be. Most of us have seen a share of the pain, and if you haven't wait it will come. For me the pain i have felt reminds me there is a better world coming. Peter bore his cross, and so must we all.
