  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All this about "lunar theory" is nice-I believe it myself-but it has nothing to do with Enoch! No one believes Enoch isn't canon! No one believes it isn't inspired! It was in the Septuigent!

The Sanhedrin removed it, and why? Because it had prophecies relating to Christ!

The people who didn't want Enoch in the Bible also didn't want Jude. So, is Jude also not inspired?

Just a little curiosity... the Sanhedrin would have had to remove every book of Torah and of the Prophets from the status of Scripture in order to cut out prophesies pertaining to Moshiach. Could you explain how you came to this conclusion about their motivations?

I read Tertullian.

This is a good page about 1 Enoch.

My comment about the jews removing the text comes from the last paragraph of this page:

This is a good page about Tertullian:

Here is 1 Enoch itself (which I doubt anyone will read...*why*?):

Peace!

Edit:

...you know, a lot of the wording from the NT comes from Enoch. I love Enoch's title for God: The Ancient of Days. Enoch explains what the Satans are-not just one being (though the Devil leads them), but an army of beings who've rebelled against God. A large part of Christ's ministry was casting out demons-without Enoch, you don't even know what they are. But our Lord knew what they were, and they knew who he was. I don't understand why someone wouldn't find that knowledge vital. Enoch's visions of 'heaven' were beautiful as well, as beautiful as John's description in Revelations. ...there is a lot of beauty in this little book, and I don't understand why there is so much controversy concerning it.

I don't get it. Just read the book, lol.

No, I saw your Michigan flag. It has a hammer and an anvil, and it's red.
Michigan's flag looks nothing like that :p
