Why first century miracles happening right now, where and why

I've been hearing reports from some missionary friends along the miracles that are common place among many that are in distressed, oppressive anti christian countries. They deemed it, that it's because the few christians there are going through persecution, that could be part of it, it's also likely it's because even though most don't have daily access to a full bible, many have never even seen one, what little they know, they hold onto and have great faith, they believe in full without question, like little children.

We in the west can get so caught up in the massive volume of scripture and open study upon it, we forget that's it's better to know less, but fully know it, ,then to know a little of everything, only on the surface. I personally would say, just for exercising ones faith, to take some segment of teaching and focus on it more exclusively, to let it fully soak in to deeper levels, and watch the results.

Interesting observations. We prefer to own information and master it, compete and make ourselves most right... than to take risks and show God as mighty.
