Why dont some get Messianic Judaism

Coming from a Christian background, Messianic Judaism just made sense as to filling in the gaps in Christian beliefs. But thats another story.
i have another really good friend who is still Christian. She said that I am abandoning my faith and that she will pray to G-d and said that jesus saved her. Why dosent she get it? Does her heart have to be open to receive the messianic message? In fact she told me that she is going to punch someone if any of her Messianic friends try to tell her about it all.

Then I'd leave her alone.

Just let the L-rd minister to you, and she may become curious in time. IMO, when someone gets really defensive like that, they are usually being convicted by the Spirit but don't like it.... so pray for her.

What is her point of contention. She does know that we believe that Jesus (Yeshua) is the Messiah. Right?

It may take more prayer to open her eyes so that she may see whom she is wrestling with.... Sounds like she is going through Jacob's trouble.. and after a hip out of joint... realises who she is wrestling with.

Hhmmm... maybe she doesn't realize that becoming Messianic does Not mean that a person has converted to Judaism and renounced Jesus/Yeshua...

Well, that was what happened to me when i found out my other friend was converting to Messianic Judaism. I was angry and agreed with this friend I speak of here until Yashua got a hold of my heart.

an oak and a palm grow at different speeds - but both serve G-d - a rose and a century plant both bloom with glorious blossom - at vastly different ways and times

so it is with the servants of G-d as well - each grows and blooms in their own way and time - as directed and nurtured by G-d - in His time ......

the anxious farmer doesn't speed the growth of his crop by digging up the seed every other day

you need to water the seed with patient love, loving silence on the topic and torrents of prayer.... it can take years...

well said. This is wisdom I must "put into practice" right now with my SO. G-d will do His work. He will do it at the pace that fits Him and also that fits the person who is being changed.
