I would think the "deadly wound" may be referring to the period between the fall of the Western Roman Empire and the beginning of the Pope's temporal rule (I show this on the chart as AD 476 to AD 756).

It could also possibly be referring to the period between AD 1870 and AD 1929 when the Papacy was not a temporal ruler (I do not show this on the chart at present).

Jerusalem Northern summit (hill) is called Scopus [Hill One], The middle summit (hill) was called Nob [Hill Two], The highest point of Olivet itself, and the southern summit (hill) was called in the Holy Scriptures the "Mount of Corruption" or "Mount of Offence" [Hill Three] (II Kings 23:13), on the middle ridge between the Kedron and the Tyropoeon Valleys there was (formerly) in the south "Mount Zion" [Hill Four] (the original "Mount Zion" and not the later southwest hill that was later called by that name), the "Ophel Mount" [Hill Five], to the north of that the "Rock" around which Fort Antonia was built [Hill Six], and the southwest hill itself [Hill Seven] that finally became known in the time of Simon the Hasmonean as the new "Mount Zion."

Israel is also the youngest of end time great nations. I'm gonna write an article on it shortly

What happened in 538 to lead you to that conclusion?

I don't know if 538 is the right date, but I know some where in the 6th century, (I read 590) Pope Gregory the Great was forced to be pope after the previous pope caught a pestilence and died. Pope Gregory I was an outstanding leader, but more than that, he was a monastic priest. He set the Church toward monasticism and, though he fought hard to keep pride out of the Roman seat, there were some who used it to, at first, consolidate the protection of the Church's affairs from political leaders, and then to rule as the king of kings. That happened when Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne imperator Augustus in Rome on Christmas Day 800 CE. That was also the official beginning of the Holy Roman Empire, the darkest time in Church history.

Ok. I guess I was wondering if you tied the "deadly wound" to the end of the 1260 years. Most of the Reformers and Historicists do, and it was worth checking to see if you shared that opinion as well.

.

I would say that the healing of the wound is descriptive of the identity and timing of the beast.

The seven heads of the beast are the same heads of the dragon, just with no crowns on them like they had on the dragon. The heads are:

1) Babylonian Empire
2) Persian Empire
3-6) Four divisions of the Greek Empire
7) The Roman Empire (Augustus)

The seventh head was healed on Christmas Day 800 CE when Charlemagne of the Franks marched into Rome and was crowned imperator Augustus by Pope Leo III, marking the unofficial beginning of the Holy Roman Empire.

So the beast from the sea is the Holy Roman Empire. The 1260 days is after the healing.
