Everything? Not everything. Keep in mind the adversary is only allowed to do what God allows him to do. The rest is on the one that falls into temptation.

He does it to lead people astray. He scams people by giving such close counterfeits that people are lead away from Christ thinking they are following God when they are not. His objective is to divert people away from the true Gospel of Christ to following another Gospel which is very close to the true, but totally false in its outcomes. This is why Peter advises Christians to be sober and vigilant, and for John to tell us to test every spirit because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

There is no contest between God and Old Nick. God is the Creator. Nick is a creature. Satan exists at all entirely due to God's sufferance. When God has had done with Satan, God will dispose of him. End of.

An obvious lie is easy to spot. Make a few small changes and many won't take notice, even it might totally change the meaning.

A New Age follower said that sin is the same as suffering. It's like bending the truth. There is some truth in there, but not the whole truth. Sin often leads to suffering, but it's not the same thing.

The Devil can do nothing really original. He can only imitate the truth.
Make no mistake about it. He will never repent. He hates the Triune God to the uttermost.

He made himself the opposite of all God is. So he is the source of death, sin, decay, corruption, unholiness, deception.
And the lake of fire is his eternal destiny.

Whatever time he may have had to be reconciled to his Creator is long, long since gone, if it existed.
The eternal punishment - the eternal fire is "prepared for the Devil and his angels" (Matt. 25:41).
