Why does Islam have lunar calendar?

I've been reading more about the Kinanah clan that controlled intercalary months until Muhammad switched from lunisolar to lunar. Apparently Kinanah was the name of the clan leader, and the clan was actually called Banu Nadir. That clan was Jewish which explains why they had the authority over the intercalary months (the lunisolar calendar they were using was inspired by the Jewish lunisolar calendar).

Apparently Muhammad was betrayed by a Jewish tribe during a battle, and he became somewhat anti-Jewish - at least towards that tribe. Probably this calendar change was a result.

So delving into time period and how they are worked out is something like,
trying to empty the ocean with a spoom,
would reckon.

But one thing is for sure,
time is a tyrant,
it waits for no one.

Yet it is the only thing we have/own, the number of days ,hours miinutes alloted to each.
