I have been pondering something for awhile and I could use some help- why does God use people? There is a reason. Can anyone explain why to me? I think God is about to give me the answer to this. The Lord's prayer says "on earth as it is in heaven". It may have something to do with authority, I have heard teachings before stating that you must have a physical body to have authority on earth, this is why spirits try to get in people, they cannot act any other way. I am not sure about this, any ideas?

Isn't it boring/painful just to watch?

God even entered the creation to interact this one time ...

Well, I think He chooses to, or is choosing to for a very good reason...?

Could be any number of things really...?

I know He has always wanted at least "a person" or one person, (Jesus), to be His flesh and blood representative here on earth, etc...?

But why He wants or needs more just yet, I do not know right now, etc...?

God Bless!

What you have heard is correct. God gave authority over the creation to Adam and Eve. Adam handed that authority to Satan. John tells us that the world is under the control of the evil one (1 John 5:19).

The primary expression of authority is by what we say. If evil spirits can influence people's thoughts and words, they can maintain control easily. Satan does not care if people are arguing about conservative or progressive, capitalism or socialism. They are his constructs in the first place. What he does not want is people seeking God and the Kingdom of God.

When we pray the Lord's prayer, we are praying according to God's will. It sounds weird, but in a sense, God requires our permission for Him to carry out His will. Satan is liar, deceiver and manipulator. He uses any means to maintain control. God is utterly righteous. He will not violate mans' will. So we should be much more aware of how important our fervent prayers are.

God created Adam and Eve and commissioned them to fill the earth and subdue it. God gave them authority over the creation. I believe that included Satan. We know how that ended up.

Lord Jesus is called "the last Adam". Christians have the same authority and power that Lord Jesus has. We are His body. We are His eyes, hands, feet and mouth. Lord Jesus in the flesh was limited by time and space. If He was in Jerusalem, He could not be in Nazareth. As His body now, we can be anywhere, anytime. The trick is to know where and when we should be. We should always be seeking to know God's will for our lives. usually, that is at home, work, neighbourhood and church. For some, it will be in other lands as missionaries. The Lord's prayer includes "Your will be done, on earth as in heaven". God's will won't be done if Christians refuse to obey Him. One day, enough Christians will obey God to the degree that He is satisfied. The Kingdom of God will come then and the devil will get what he deserves.

why does God use people?

There was some early effort with housecats but it really didn't work out.
That's why all the scripture references to them were removed ;)

The Lord's prayer says "on earth as it is in heaven"

To give a more serious answer to something you are giving serious thought to, yes it does.
You are, indeed, on earth

So... what would naturally follow "thy kingdom come" if you "handed over the keys" so to speak?

God's will would be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Because He would be doing it
Through you
And you are on earth

21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

why does God use people?

Well, for one reason, it's good for the people and those around them.

As for another (and this is just my own thinking, so take it with a grain of salt) but it seems to me that people are grounded in earth, but can reach to heaven or hell. A bit like a copper wire.
We are "spiritually conductive" as it were, or can be. And I think we were made to be. We've just been either completely disconnected or plugged into the wrong pole of the battery (the negative one). God wants us back.

Have you noticed that when ever angels address people they always say ' peace' or ' do not be afraid ', there is something about angels that is terrifying.

By using people God remove fear from any con ersation as well as giving people the opportunity to believe.
If confront by an angel atheists would have, unwill0 to believe in the supernatural.

You are asking,”why does God use people?” The answer is actually obvious if we consider what Jesus said:
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus, the Son of God choose us and appointed us that we should go and bear fruit.

So He choose and ordain us as a minister or a priest, that we testify of His grace in truth, so that those who hear may know the grace of God in truth, that is, those who hear may know the grace of God in His Son, Jesus Christ.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ. Amen

Scripture declares:
Romans 10:8-10:
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Why did God create man? To sing His praises, for His glory. Mankind sinned and fell from glory and the ability to give pure and holy praise to God was damaged...we were no longer praiseworthy creatures ourselves. With faith and reconciliation comes the righteousness God credits us with and all the more praise and glory are due Him. So speak His praise for He saved you!

I love this question because only God can truly answer it. I think that it's because there is nothing like the human experience. Neither angels or demons can experience the fullness of human life to include everything from our greatest joys to deepest sorrows. I think that God doesn't use humans are much as he enables them to experience the majesty of the universe he created.

In response to some earlier posts, God determines the time and place of our births:
-“And he made from one man every race of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted epochs and the fixed boundaries of the places where they would live;” (Acts 17:26)

There were times when people were fearful when angels appeared. But there were times when seems that wasn't the response such as when Jacob wrested all night with an angel. "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." (Gen 32) Or "When God’s angel had spoken these words to all the People of Israel, they cried out—oh! how they wept! They named the place Bokim (Weepers). And there they sacrificed to God." (Judges 2). Nor when Elijah was running from Jezebel "And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat." Nor did it happen the second time the angel came to get him moving. (I Kings 19)

Why does God use people? He could do whatever He wants but allows us to participate. Like a father could build a birdhouse quickly but instead encourages, enables, and engages the child to lend a hand.

The question: 'why does God use people' might have double meanings, but God created mankind, so He can care for them as His "children' (as He tells us in His Word). He loves us as our "heavenly Father" and wants us to love Him --and that is by receiving His "..beloved Son": the Lord Jesus. Make the Lord Jesus lord of your life and be devoted to Him (as John 3:16; etc.), and you will be led into much blessing on earth and forever in Heaven with our Creator-God. He wants us to serve Him in spreading salvation too.
It is a privilege to serve our God and trust Him, and enjoy His care --now and forever; so those who do not want the Lord Jesus in their life, will not have a life with God in Heaven, but be cast away into "outer darkness" as God tells us. Be thankful we CAN serve God now!

Why does God use people?

I think of Luke 22:43 >

"Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him." (Luke 22:43)

You could ask why would God use angel to minister to Jesus. God could do it, Himself, plus Jesus being God the Son could take care of Himself. So . . . why would He use the angel or some human, when He could do things Himself?

I would say our Father wanted the angel to be included in His loving Jesus. And though Jesus is God, He is humble to accept loving help from an angel who is less than He is . . . including so angels are included in God's family way of sharing and ministering.

And, then, this would go for why Jesus and our Father want to include us humans in Their labor of love on this earth > we are being developed to share and relate with God as His family; and our development now prepares us for sharing as family with God through Jesus for all eternity.

We do things with Him and with one another > this has us bonding with God and each other and growing in how Jesus is.
