Well, I don't really take him creating the earth and existing to be egotistical. But wanting to be #1 and to be worshiped (its ALL over the Bible) seems to me, very egotistical.
I must ask, why do you find that to be a good thing? The differences between theist and atheist I'd say, from a Christian perspective would have to be a bad thing..no? I mean, it's keeping them from believing in God...isn't that supposed to be a bad thing?
From my perspective, the bad thing would be for theists and atheists to never converse with each other. Questions raised by atheists has forced me to examine my faith and determine why I am a Christian. Conversely, I have seen posts on this website where atheists have decided there is room for theism in their lives.
By not exchanging with each other, I think we run the risk of villifying each other which accomplishes nothing.
