Then what?
Annihilation?
And
what exactly do you mean by "positive impact on others"?
Helping little old ladys across the street?
Fighting for the rights of the unborn?
Both?
Neither?
I'm not sure why you imposed that on an answer to a question about eternal life then; but it's none of my business anyway.I only deal with what i know i have, this life and i make the best of it.
Then Klebold & Harris had a beautiful thing too, didn't they?bhsmte said:And, i get to form my own meaning and purpose, which is a beautiful thing.

Which one wore the shirt that said NATURAL SELECTION?
I was pointing out that if everyone thought like that ... well ... let's just say history would repeat itself more often. Why would you compare how I form my purpose and meaning in life, to someone else?
In that case ...All depends on the person.
... can have disastrous results for some.Living a good life, that has a positive impact on others.
Nothing.I agree.
But what does that have to do with the topic of this thread?
After 550 posts, do you really expect a thread to be on-topic?So it's just another thread that's drifted hopelessly off-topic then
Eternal life.
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Is that how you view Heaven in the future, Phenotype? And why haven't you allowed yourself to think critically about this confronting question of you in Heaven and me in Hell?

(Aren't you guys supposed to be experts on reality?)
Only counting threads (and the like) do that!
Does it bother you that I took advantage of someone's question to witness for Jesus Christ?
Has religion, with evidence please
Science does not address evil, or eternal life, it is the study of the natural world. And all evidence points to evolution, an old earth, a round earth (There are flat earthers out here) There is no working scientific theory of creation, and even if there was it would be seen as merely one more of God's mechanisms by many.
I was thinking more origins of life, than big bang, I should have phrased it better. And as for the big bang, I do not know what kicked it off, a god has not been ruled out, but science has a better track record in filling the gaps.LOL, not laughing at you but at the fact that the Hypothesis of the Primordial Atom, or Big Bang theory came from where ?
Try Genesis 1:1. Heaven being 'expanse of space' and earth being 'particles of matter' or matter having mass. Add 'energy' and 'time' and boom the universe is instantly created to form all the known and observed universe.
As far as evolution, until you bow down and confess the man called Jesus was God you are a beast according to some interpretation of the NT, i.e. RCC
I don't mind you lying to me, just hope you aren't lying to yourself.
A year later, {Catholic Priest} Father Lemaître explored the logical consequences of an expanding universe and boldly proposed that it must have originated at a finite point in time. If the universe is expanding, he reasoned, it was smaller in the past, and extrapolation back in time should lead to an epoch when all the matter in the universe was packed together in an extremely dense state. Appealing to the new quantum theory of matter, Lemaître argued that the physical universe was initially a single particle—the “primeval atom” as he called it—which disintegrated in an explosion, giving rise to space and time and the expansion of the universe that continues to this day. This idea marked the birth of what we now know as Big Bang cosmology.
