Why do you post in this forum?

i found out about this forum by seeing the thread suggesting it on a vote for naming it , so since i minister online to a lot of younger folks most the time , i was starving for some fellowship with peers my own age group, although i love the young ones and older alike!
i really enjoy everyones wonderful humility on here , and it is so nice just to be able to come somewhere that isnt a bunch of drama constantly, although i see some get heated ! Still , when all is said and done , love abounds , and thats what its all about. my prayer is that this forum will grow leaps and bounds , and Jesus will continue to be lifted up and glorified . thanks for lettin me be a small part guys. I just happened to see the title of the forum, and of course, I feel FABULOUS, so I just HAD to drop in!!

I like coming in here to get away from the 'seriousness of life', and the fellowship is so sweet in here. It's where I too, like to spend 'my time', when I can get it .. and a great way to get to know each other better. Some of you are hilarious!

Ditto to most of the answers here. I don't really have a lot of peers in my daily life,and growing up was so traumatic for me that I forgot about a lot of things about the past that were good, so all of you have helped me there. I usually have a houseful of children and they would probably laugh at our nostalgia, but there were pretty good ol' days after all.

Besides, I love all my new friends here!!

CM4, your past sounds an awful lot like my dd's. Her dad and I split up when she was 5, but our relationship had been rocky for a few years by then. She has extremely few memories of before she was 5.

I am here because I finally found a place where people share my concerns, issues, etc. It's hard to communicate hurts and feelings about being 40-something and without a mate when your praying audience is half your age, or about seeking beauty and virtue in your own age group, which I have seen and I'm happy that I have.

Yes, you can be 40-something and have a few extra pounds and be lovable, and beautiful and desirable. You can still be admired and make a difference for God and be wonderful. I see wonderful things I could not see before.

I love Christian women. I just cried for joy a little and I'm not ashamed to say I'm a guy. and the brothers with the most wisdom? tend to be older. I love the freedom to pour out my heart and be happy, or sad, or grieving, and be treated lovingly and gently and taken seriously. We have that freedom in Christ, and in the midst of this infinite sea of microchips and web pages, we share it right here in the forum.

Anyone remember pop rocks and dashiki shirts? I had a really big afro once.

Well, I'm still sort of a newbie and this forum kinda popped out at me since I turned 40 this year.

I post here to make new friends because I am a SAHM and not much contact to the outside world and CF is "me time"

I like the fun-loving feeling from everyone that posts here. Also I have had some great memories come back to me about my childhood and younger years....it's great to reflect on the good

I dont see anything as of yet that I dont like, and hope I dont, I know on some other forums it's all debate or lashing out, I feel as though we are to edify and encourage one another instead of discourage and tear down! I always say "if you dont have anything good to say then dont say anything at all"

I don't really have a peer group where I live. Everyone is either alot older or alot younger. It's nice to have people to talk to who are on the same "wave length" so to speak.
