Why do people say Heavy Metal is satans music?

That's only one type of metal (black metal). And not THAT many bands in the genre still make songs about Satanism. Maybe only a handful (as in, less than 100).

Most of those bands anyone can loosely call devils music. They have done it throughout history, The Beatles, KISS, Ozzy, the norwegian stuff, hell if it don't go along with the narrow view of whats right with some folks people will call it devils music. I never said it was a good reason to call it that but merely stated thats a cause. Most of the bands I speak of aren't actually satanist, Marilyn Manson is one of the greatest examples of doing it for the shock value and shock sells.
