The only reason why someone would dislike the fact that salvation is easy is because they are prideful. Think about this. Whenever you do something that isn't easy, don't you become prideful? It was not easy for me to do my first job interview. But after I was done I was proud about the fact that I managed to do it anyway. I was prideful because I did something that was not easy. But that's not salvation. Salvation is the easiest thing in the world. You don't get saved by accomplishing anything (let alone something that isn't easy), you get saved by receiving a free gift that is freely given to everyone. The only way to get saved is by believing in Jesus, not by believing in yourself. That's why it's impossible for prideful people to get saved.
Whenever someone dislikes the term "easy believism", that is a sign that you are dealing with a prideful person. The more prideful you are, the more you hate easy believism. The prideful person delights in the fact that they earned their salvation by their own efforts, and hates the idea that salvation could be easy. The prideful person gives glory to himself rather than giving glory to God.
But the truly humble person loves it. He loves the fact that salvation is so easy and so simple. They don't mind the fact that they can't take any glory out of their own salvation, but that God takes all the glory.
But here's what you missed. It's impossible to take pride from the fact that you just received a free gift. Boasting goes together with pride. But how would you boast by receiving a free gift? It would make no sense at all.
Let's imagine that someone who is truly saved tried to be prideful and boast about their salvation. This is what it would sound like, "Hey everyone, look how great I am because I didn't do anything! I am the greatest person ever because God did everything for me and I was like a little baby who didn't do anything!"
It would sound like a joke. There's no reason to boast with something that you didn't even do.
I know that I'm just as much of a sinner as anyone else. I'm not saying I'm any better than anyone else. I'm just saying that I wasn't trying to work for salvation or earn it by myself, just received it as a free gift.
The only reason I can imagine why someone would not want to have a free gift is the mindset that says, "I'm such a good and hard-working person that I'm going to earn that gift by myself. You're not just going to give it to me freely." That would be a prideful mindset. So that's why I think pride is the reason why someone would not want a free gift or dislike the idea of getting a free gift.
If salvation is easy and it's totally free, wouldn't that just be the greatest news ever? Why would you dislike that?

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

Here's the problem with it, though. The accusation, or even the perception, that is described by that term (Easy Believism) is not fundamentally concerned with it not being found in the Bible.@BibleBeliever1611
Q: Why do people hate easy believism?
A: Because it is not found in the Bible, and it is immoral. It leads people to justify sin and evil in the name of God, and the Bible condemns grievous and mortal sin with punishment in the afterlife.
The only reason why someone would dislike the fact that salvation is easy is because they are prideful.
Ever heard of the phrase, nothing good in life comes easy?
Easy Believism cheapens God's grace.
I don't think you understand the implications of "Easy Believism". Do you believe that someone can be saved by merely reciting a prayer. Do you believe that after saying a half hearted prayer you could spend the rest of your life living in deliberate sin and debauchery without eternal consequence? The only reason why someone would dislike the fact that salvation is easy is because they are prideful. The gift of salvation is given freely. But it costs us everything. It is called "dying to self" and it is something Jesus commanded when he said to "take up your cross".But here's what you missed. Is there someone who actually teaches any of this?Do you believe that someone can be saved by merely reciting a prayer. Do you believe that after saying a half hearted prayer you could spend the rest of your life living in deliberate sin and debauchery without eternal consequence?
