CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

People gamble because they think it's fun & it can become addictive like any other addictions that a person may have. I did gamble "socially" with people when I was younger but quit because I didn't want to lose my money and not have anything to show for it. By the way, I used coins like dimes, nickles & quarters so I never lost that much or won that much. I also disagree that gamblers are the stupidest people alive. Some gamblers just make poor choices like getting into debt because of it or not providing their family

The casino's are making money because most people lose. Most people are either just there to have fun on their vacation and not really worried about hitting it big. Others refuse to quit once they win a little money because they want to "Hit the Big One".... these people usually end up going home a loser. If you had fun and didn't lose the rent money, thats ok.
Me... I'm not gonna pretend that I win every time, but I do have a stratagy that I use on the slots that has been pretty good to me on the slot machines nearly everytime I play. I'm not giving it away, but the key is to not get greedy.
I also like to play some (low dollar) Holde'm. I unfortunately can't say that I have a real good stratagy here yet...lol Thats why I stick to the low dollar tables and just play for fun. Yes... I want and try to win, but I'm ok with just having some fairly cheap fun.

Guess you don't know anyone that works at a casino. In your opinion it's stupid and there is nothing to show, but the people in Tunica Mississippi will tell you how casinos changed their lives for the better. Lots of people I know went from working in cotton fields and catfish farms in the Delta region to working at the casinos.PookySmiley said:
