How can I believe if I reject Christ in my deeds? I can't.
Christ is the Saviour, ONLY, of sinners! And sinners were those "without God and without hope" out there all across the surface of our globe.
Christ tried to save the Pharisees also who accussed Him falsely.
It won't help you one bit. No one escapes God's Law. God have mercy on us through Jesus Christ our Lord our love our life our Law our "God who commanded - the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ". 2Corinthians 4:6.
Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel that is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.I can't seem to find a single christian who follows the sabbath and I am not understanding why?
Jesus was Jew, he lived as a Jew, prayed as one in the Jewish synagogues, observed all Jewish holy days and traditions and he had said "obey my laws" which was referring to the 10 commandments. So guys, what possible reasondoes any christian have not to observe the sabbath please?
Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel that is not binding on Christians under the New Covenant.
*Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
Even when Sabbatarians set out to worship on the Sabbath, are they truly "keeping the Sabbath?" To "keep the Sabbath" as it was required in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant would involve compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21) that were strictly enforced.
If Sabbath day observances are still required, so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath (Exodus 35:3). Every man must remain in his place (no traveling) on the sabbath (Exodus 16:29). No trading (Amos 8:5). No marketing (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19).
These were commanded by God to Israel (Exodus 35:1).
If the seventh day Sabbath is still in affect, then why don't Sabbatarians seek to obey ALL that the LORD commanded? How can a person keep a certain law when he keeps only part of it?
If the Sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the Sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people.
Who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Seventh day Adventist church? The Government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as ancient Israel did under the Old Covenant, no Sabbatarian can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.
How so?Yes, "For _I_ through the law am dead, dead to the law, that I might live unto God."
It's not 'For the _law_ is dead to me, that I may live away from God.'
This speaks of the Levitical temple and its ministry. So Colossians 2:20, "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances", ordinances and affectations : OF: "the WORLD" --nothing to do with the Law of God Old or New Testament!
I choose to believe the Gospels. It won't help you one bit. No one escapes God's Law. God have mercy on us through Jesus Christ our Lord our love our life our Law our "God who commanded - the Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ". 2Corinthians 4:6.
How can a dead man have any life in the law?
'This', is Colossians 2:20-23 which is about "the rudiments of the WORLD", not of God's Law of Ten Commandments or of the earthly priesthood of mortal high priests in Hebrews 7.This speaks of the Levitical temple and its ministry.
A weak priesthood
Heb 7:28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
A worldly temple and service
Heb 9:1 Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
There is nothing wrong with worshipping God on Sunday (the day of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ) but there is something wrong with turning keeping the Sabbath day under the Old Covenant into a legalistic prescription for Christians under the New Covenant (Colossians 2:16-17).And what do you say do the Sunday worshippers do ANY BETTER?!
Who said so? You; not I.
But I was the one saying there is Life in Christ my Law God's Word.
It is a worldly sanctuary, not heavenly. And its rudiments are worldly as well. Why divide up books of scripture as though they do not concur. That is what makes it weak, and unprofitable for salvation from death. Earthly, worldly, a shadow. not the reality.'This', is Colossians 2:20-23 which is about "the rudiments of the WORLD", not of God's Law of Ten Commandments or of the earthly priesthood of mortal high priests in Hebrews 7.
'This', Colossians 2:20-23, also is not about
Colossians 2:20-23 is not Hebrews 9!
Even so, since God's Only Law and Word of Life, is Christ Jesus, desired one to return to these 'elements' from the OT, according to the "Christ-Principle desired he to return to the "elements of the WORLD". Galatians 4.
Thank you for this. I don't know why I didn't put Colossians 2:20 together with Hebrews 9:1?It is a worldly sanctuary, not heavenly. And its rudiments are worldly as well. Why divide up books of scripture as though they do not concur. That is what makes it weak, and unprofitable for salvation from death. Earthly, worldly, a shadow. not the reality.
Check outThank you for this. I don't know why I didn't put Colossians 2:20 together with Hebrews 9:1?
They clearly go together.
This is exactly why God found fault with the Old Covenant, because we were completely unable to keep it.We are sinners. We are weak. We are human.
