I couldn't agree more. For example, we shouldn't conclude that the covenant that was from Sinai was for everyone for all of time, especially when the Bible confirms that the command was given to get rid of it.

You are right, the old covenant was given to them as it relates to the terms but the content is for all. Violations of the Law under the old covenant demanded the death penalty but under the new covenant we have grace for violations of the same Law. Old covenant terms involved punishment, which has been done away with through grace because of the cross. Freedom from punishment is the meaning of grace not freedom from Law.

Thank you Stinsonmarri! Well said! I have been SDA ALL of my 52 years and cannot understand why we didn't get the message. We are so caught up in our claim to be special..........sigh........the remnant...........etc., etc., etc.,

One of the simliest verses should tell us that nobody should become the religious bigots we have become:

For God so loved the worl that He gave His only Begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

God help us we make it so comlicated when it is so very simple.

The SDA has the same problem that the Jews had that they are the only chosen ones. SDA was given a message to preach to all the world and the message has not change but SDA has. They have become bigots and think as did the Jews that you must be like them in order to get into the kingdom! I can name you a lot of people who were not Jews or Israelites who knew Elohim and some were His prophet. That is not IJ message to pick who is saved or lost it was to prepare a people to build up the wall and waste places. We have become like all Protestants claiming we are the righteous church. The Church is like five wise who was praying indiviudally and was prepared. But the five foolish were judging and pointing fingers but was not prepared themselves.
The Jews had a nerve to put a partition between them and the Greeks in the courtyard of the Temple. Yahweh did not command that nor gave any instruction on that wise if so show it to me! I will not name a church but all who will not obey the truth will become harlots. Prostestant includes SDA so who are they to judge that's Yahweh's job! That is what the IJ message is all about and that is Yahweh will judge and Yashua will plead on behalf of the righteous and these faithful ones will have their names written in the Book of Life.
The sheep from all religions which includes Hindu and all the rest will have the opportunity to hear and obey the commands of Yahweh that's His voice and not our vain talking. It will be during the Time of Trouble because the Wise will understand and teach them. There will be a great multitude from ever nation, demomination, and religion who will make a choice and obey. My prayer is that I be ready to do Yahweh's work and proclaim the message not by a doctrine or Church but by my faith. My faith as a SDA is about the message of the IJ which includes the prophesies of both Daniel and Revelation and there is a lot we must all stop doing! There will be two foes the harlot riding the beast and the beast/man himself. The harlot will have her harlots and the city Jerusalem (Babylon). The beast/man wll have those ten kings of the earth who are not kings yet, and the false prophet who will make an image that will speak. The beast/man will have the power that no one including the harlot cannot buy or sell unless you have his mark. Beast and the harlot will fight the final earth battle. Read Revelation Five through 18 along with Daniel 7-12 because they go hand in hand.
Finally we need to stop pointing fingers at each other and make sure individually that our name is found in the Book of Life. Churches can not save you but Yashua can!

Before she wrote the Conflict series she wrote Spirit of Prophecy volumes 1-4 and she did not call herself Spirit of Prophecy the information inside about the Savior was intended. Yet, the church ran with it and gave her this title and this was wrong because the Bible said in Rev 19:10 who the Spirit of Prophecy was and that was the Savior and His own Testimony.

When the 1888 problem arose in the church EGW stood with Jones and Waggoner also the President of GC. EGW went out to the laity and begin to preach the message and the leaders ousted the President and sent EGW to Australia. It was during this time that she wrote one of the most dynamic book of her time called Testimonies to the Ministers. I urge all who are SDA on this forum to read starting with page 105-"The Holy Scriptures." She stood up against the ministers of her day and most do not know about this book. Some of the books with her name on it are just compilations of things she spoke of in other books put together to make more money. ​

The church is not pure and until we realize the condition of the church we cannot talk about any other church as being a harlot! We too have apostatized but there are thousands who have not bowed their knee to Baal or Satan. The latter rain was the Day of Pentecost because look how many accepted the truth in one day. EGW called the message she and others heard during the time of Miller was the midnight cry and it was also the early rain. In case you didn't realize, there is a group of New Agers that are waiting for the Matraiya and other wise teachers to appear to guide the world to peace. (Satan and his angels)

I agree. This is how I see it as well. It is for this reason that I do not pick and choose. I don't pick the seventh-day sabbath and not pick the Passover, Day of Atonement of Feast of Weeks. All of Scripture is useful. That does not mean that all of it was meant to apply to every person through all of time. Usually, the Bible is pretty clear about the persons who adopted a specific practice.

Yes that is definitely whom I am referring to. That is why I asked her had she read EGW's first vision. I do not agree with this Sunday Blue law doctrine because it is not Biblical. First of all there is two foes the harlot riding the beast/man. The beasts in Dan Seven were religious and the ones in Chapter Eight represented their political side. The fourth beast is not Rome the Bible made it clear that this beast had 10 horns on his head (singular) and attached were seven more heads. His feet stamp the residue and he has brass nails and iron teeth. All these were clues and in Rev Thirteen he is seen through time as he comes out of the sea or people. Now a bear stamp his feet and Greece is represented as the body and the brass. Iron represents Rome but not the political power of these kingdom but their religious powers that will unite together in this beast/man. Seven heads were all of the kingdoms that had connection with people of Yahweh and they are: Assyria, Egypt, Babylon, (Medes) Persia, Greece, Pagan Rome, and Papal Rome. History proves that Rome came out of Greece which is in Dan Chapter eight. As a historian we call Rome really Greco-Rome. Rome basically copied everything from Greece, the USA also. Rev Chapter 17 sees a harlot riding the beast because the Papacy lost her political powers but not her Ecclesiastes powers. She ruled as a Church and emperor and had 18 vassal states that she lost. She is the only church today that has embassies everywhere like the USA and is a part of the United Nation! She wants however to have an embassy in Jerusalem and she does not yet. ​

The beast/man was once one of the papacy's disciples but will turn against her and her religion for good. This happen before in History with the Catholic Church! He will visit Satan's kingdom that is not of this world!!!!!! He will turn his back on everything that has to do with Yahweh, Yashua, and the Holy Spirit. He takes over Satan's seat, power and authority and return with all of Satan's angels during the Time of Trouble. Yahweh and the Yashua wrath will be upon the earth and these evil angels will wreck havoc. Yahweh has now allowed these mighty angels to be release in full force on the earth with the beast. The Holy Spirit will have left after the last large group is sealed by the 144,000. The temple will have been rebuilt by the papacy and her harlots and that will include the SDA and you may not want to hear it but it will. Only one out of every twenty will be saved so where do you think the others will do? History repeats itself each its worst than before! The temple is not under the Dome of the Rock that is a high place and not the most holy place where Yahweh commune with Aaron or they would have died. It is known that it is near the east side and they know it for a fact now. It will be build and he will sit in the most holy place and Jerusalem will meet her last desolation. The beast/man (the abomination) will hate the harlot along with the assistance of the false prophet, the kings of the east (Islam), and the ten kings who will be kings at that time will make war with the papacy and her harlots and that will be the battle of Armageddon or WW III. ​

Those sealed will be safe for a while when the harlot is nuked and Jerusalem but not the temple because it is on Mount Moriah outside of the city and he will be the final one who sits in this temple. Seven last plagues will be for both the harlot and the beast/man but the saints will also feel the effects. Yashua will fight the saint's battle and Sunday is a pagan day to worship the beast/man and his kingdom but not the mark of the beast. Those who side with the papacy will not be able to buy or sell unless they have this mark.​

Also, where do you read that the 144,000 will be doing specifically the miracles that Moses and Elijah did? We know that the Latter Rain will enable those at the Sunday Law to go and proclaim the third angels message with power just as the apostles did after pentecost.

The Elijah Message.—In this age, just prior to the second coming of the Messiah in the clouds of heaven, Elohim calls for men who will prepare a people to stand in the great day of Yahweh. Just such a work as that which John did, is to be carried on in these last days. They have on the wedding garment, and are obedient and faithful to all Elohim’s commands (Letter 126, 1898).​

Why were they so specially singled out? Because they had to stand with a wonderful truth right before the whole world, and receive their opposition, and while receiving this opposition they were to remember that they were sons and daughters of Elohim, that they must have the Messiah formed within them the hope of glory (MS 13, 1888).​

All who wait for the heavenly Bridegroom are represented in the parable as slumbering because their Savior delayed His coming; but the wise roused themselves at the message of His approach, and responded to the message, and their spiritual discernment was not all gone, and they sprang into line. As they took hold of the grace of the Messiah, their religious experience became vigorous and abundant, and their affections were set upon things above. They discerned where was the source of their supply, and appreciated the love that Elohim had for them. They opened their hearts to receive the Holy Spirit, by which the love of Elohim was shed abroad in their hearts. Their lights were trimmed and burning, and sent forth steady rays into the moral darkness of the world. They glorified Elohim, because they had the oil of grace in their hearts, and did the very work that their Master did before them—went forth to seek and to save those who were lost (ST June 28, 1910).​

These are just a few but we must realize the work that the wise will do will be done during the Time of Trouble. They will announce plagues and famine on Babylon or Jerusalem and other places and people who claim they know Yahweh, Yashua and the Holy Spirit. The miracles they will render will cause people to choose to obey Yahweh or man. Because like Pharaohs and during the time of Ahab, Yahweh used these two servants to showed through famine and plagues that He the Father all by Himself. 1444,000 will witness as they did to the papacy and the other harlots to prove for the last time who the Almighty Ones are and to bring out the great multitude that no man can number!​

I will speak on the two witnesses... these two witnesses are the OT and the NT. The clue is in the reference to the candlesticks and the olive trees, both of which were symbols for the Word of God. This is found in the vision of Zechariah in chapter 4, where the angel tells him what the candlestick and olive tree symbolize.

The idea of these two witnesses being Moses and Elijah are not Adventist is nature so I am wondering why you refer to them as such? You quote inspiration but do not seem to believe what was plainly given us from the pen of inspiration... you seem to be picking and choosing your own unique doctrine using a bit a traditional protestantism belief with some Adventist belief and a dose of your own reckoning...

I have studies all of EGW writings and the Commentaries since the sixty because my mother bought them all because she sold them working three jobs after my father died. I am a Biblical historian and check resources for over thirty years which you must include words.

So many lies have been told on EGW about the things she has never said. Theory is what you believe because that is what you've been taught. I don't just listen to what is being taught I do like the Bereans search the Scriptures to see if what is said is correct. I have put it out there not for you just to believe me but to search and be noble to see if it is correct. The Holy Spirit will lead all to truth but check out the information first with prayer.

And we as clearly saw as we now see that these prophetic words suggested a Sabbath reform; but as to what the worship of the beast mentioned in the message was, or what the image and mark of the beast were, we had no defined position. {1BIO 146}

How shall we search the Scriptures in order to understand what they teach? We should come to the investigation of Elohim’s word with a contrite heart, a teachable and prayerful spirit. We are not to think, as did the Jews, that our own ideas and opinions are infallible; nor with the papists, that certain individuals are the sole guardians of truth and knowledge, that men have no right to search the Scriptures for themselves, but must accept the explanations given by the fathers of the church. We should not study the Bible for the purpose of sustaining our preconceived opinions, but with the single object of learning what Elohim has said.

Some have feared that if in even a single point they acknowledge themselves in error, other minds would be led to doubt the whole theory of truth. Therefore they have felt that investigation should not be permitted, that it would tend to dissension and disunion. But if such is to be the result of investigation, the sooner it comes the better. If there are those whose faith in Elohim’s word will not stand the test of an investigation of the Scriptures, the sooner they are revealed the better; for then the way will be opened to show them their error. We cannot hold that a position once taken, an idea once advocated, is not, under any circumstances, to be relinquished. There is but One who is infallible--He who is the way, the truth, and the life.

Those who allow prejudice to bar the mind against the reception of truth cannot receive the divine enlightenment. Yet, when a view of Scripture is presented, many do not ask, Is it true--in harmony with Elohim’s word? but, By whom is it advocated? and unless it comes through the very channel that pleases them, they do not accept it. Yashua often works where we least expect Him; He surprises us by revealing His power through instruments of His own choice, while He passes by the men to whom we have looked as those through whom light should come. Elohim desires us to receive the truth upon its own merits--because it is truth. ​

The Bible must not be interpreted to suit the ideas of men, however long they may have held these ideas to be true. We are not to accept the opinion of commentators as the voice of Elohim; they were erring mortals like ourselves. Elohim has given reasoning powers to us as well as to them. Consider the circumstances of the Jewish nation when the prophecies of Daniel were given. Let us give more time to the study of the Bible. We do not understand the word as we should. The book of Revelation opens with an injunction to us to understand the instruction that it contains. "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy," Elohim declares, "and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." When we as a people understand what this book means to us, there will be seen among us a great revival. We do not understand fully the lessons that it teaches, notwithstanding the injunction given us to search and study it. {TM 113}

Satan stood in amazement at his new condition. His happiness was gone. He looked upon the angels who, with him, were once so happy, but who had been expelled from heaven with him. ECR just think for a minute where do you think Satan and his angels went or lived after they were kicked out of Heaven? The earth was not created at the time he was kicked out! Do you think that we are the only created beings? Who are the sons of Elohim? Don't you realize that a pit already lets you know that it is dark and it has no bottom lest be sensible it is outer space!!!!!!! Where do you think Satan seat is located or throne because find me a Scripture where he has ever being called king of the earth, only prince of the air? Do you actually think that 1/3 of the mighty angels that fail with Lucifer are here now????
SDA do not even understand that those horses in Rev six represent the earth from pure to it is now dying and not a church at all! The first rider was Adam and the book was the Book of Life and all who were sealed through the ages staring with the first two. SDA are so caught up thinking that they have everything now for salvation and they do not they are just like the Jews and this is what Yahweh said:

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. That is not what I provided or commented myself. The two witness is the Old and New Testament or the Bible. Just like women is a symbol so is the two witness representing two men. Olive tree is the Holy Spirit who will enlighten the 144,000 to finish the work and use the Bible to heal, raised the dead and condemn the wicked by certain things as Moses and Elijah did and that is all I am saying. They will do as Yashua said greater thing then He did on the earth. If I confuse you on this point I am very sorry.
