Why do creationists redefine and/or make up words out-of-context?

Because this is the best they have...

Not hardly, your arrogance doesn't make up for you ignorance on the matter.

I could quote the black congressman who was afraid Guam would roll over from over population as evidence that all black congressmen are idiots, right ? That would be an idiotic tactic wouldn't it ? Then why do you use it ?

If Supertyphoon Pamela didn't roll it over, overpopulation won't.

That sounds like something a scientist would use, à la a Malthusian Catastrophe.

Not sure I agree with you there chief, suggesting an island might roll over is akin to suggesting a big wooden boat held all the animals by two'sies.

I've noticed a common theme when discussing things with creationists that words are often used out-of-context. This includes words like "theory", "evolution", "Darwinism", and so on.

Evolutionists are the ones who changed the words and whine that it's the creationists. Science is the culprit in this case. They changed the meanings to one which fit their own personal false assumptions:

Theory = Fact
Descent within kinds = Evolution
Darwinism = worshiping at the Altar of Godless Evolution with Blind Faith

Yes … I know Guam isn't going to roll over.

I lived there for 3½ years.

Scientists at one time would have had a scientific answer if it did though: a Malthusian Catastrophe.

In other words, another false scientific belief.

So, what you're saying is, if Guam rolled over, science would attempt to understand how, but Christian's would see it as a case of godditit?

I'm saying science would already say how [and why]:

Mother Nature did it as a Malthusian Catastrophe.

In other words, Guam's overpopulation would have piqued Mother Nature's interest and set in motion a series of events to roll Guam over.

Ditto for Hurricane Katrina.

As if "Mother Nature" cares about overpopulation.

Not her problem.

I read the paper in "human evolution". in it, the authors state that A) 90% of all living organisms came into existence in the last 500,000 years.

I believe that should be species. Interestingly, a guy once wrote a book on the origin of species.

Nevermind.

It was called, The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.
And mentioned no human races, but often applied to variations of cabbages, etc.

Which you already know, AV, why misrepresent the guy's work? He wasn't even racist despite the fact that the majority of people were in the 1800s. If you want some supreme racism trying to leak into biology, try looking into the weirdly racist taxonomy books.

It's like when people try to claim that atheism makes people become Hitler when he wasn't even an atheist, yet they almost never bring up Stalin, who actually was an atheist. If you are going to make these silly attacks, you might as well make it seem like you know what you are talking about to some extent when you do.

Are there living organisms that aren't part of a species ? What possible difference doe it make, other than an opportunity for you to be a smarta*s ? Denigration in any way possible is a favorite tool of evolutionists with those who disagree with them, isn't it ?

Yeah I read that guy's book, didn't find it very compelling. I have read some of his letters and essay's as well

You mean like Erlich and his fellow scientific travelers did in the 70's ? It appears the world didn't starve to death years ago as their grandiose theory predicted.
