So, let me get this straight. In a thread several months old and had no participation in over 4 months, and where you had not previously posted in until today, you pick up on a couple of off-topic posts, completely disregarding or oblivious to the OP topic, and use the off-topic remarks to resurrect the thread.

If not replying to a thread that's over 4 months old constitutes 'conducting myself maturely', then I'd say my maturity is cheap.
