I accept your honest answer: "I am not sure why".because God cannot be around sin and the shedding of blood is the only way to forgive sin. I am not sure why that is.
because God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us, but we cannot pay our own sin debt.I accept your honest answer: "I am not sure why".
But do you know why it has to be Jesus Christ's blood and not my own blood for my own sins?
Because a slave to sin cannot redeem a slave from sin. A person cannot rescue another person to a higher place than the rescuer has himself. Only someone untainted with sin can rescue another from sin.I agree. But this is the question:
Why does Jesus have to pay price for my sins? Why can't I pay price for my own sins?
why was it acceptable?
was it necessary for Christ to be killed in order to pay the price? if "yes" why?
Why can't I save myself? Why can't I pay price myself? Wouldn't it be Justice?Because a slave to sin cannot redeem a slave from sin. A person cannot rescue another person to a higher place than the rescuer has himself. Only someone untainted with sin can rescue another from sin.
Peter doesn't say here that Jesus paid for our sins with the death of his body. You say this. Peter says here:Jesus paid for our sins with the death of his body (1 Peter 2:24).
You can; it's called eternity in hell. I gave an answer to your question with detail in my first response. Why can't I save myself? Why can't I pay price myself? Wouldn't it be Justice?
1 Peter was written to Christians (1 Peter 1:1-2). 1 Peter 2:24 says that the death of Jesus (his body) was so that they might be saved, and states that because of this they are saved.Peter doesn't say here that Jesus paid for our sins with the death of his body. You say this. Peter says here:
"Jesus bares our sins in his body on the tree".
What you wonder about was not a possibility, because that is one of the reasons the Father sent him to earth. It was a part of God's plan to save us. God's Word always accomplishes the purpose for which He sent it (Isaiah 55:11).Would Jesus ever died if nobody decided to kill Him? If "yes" why? If "no" why?
Yes, I agree. If I sin I have to pay price. Price is death. You can; it's called eternity in hell.
But why did salvation require a dead body? Why cannot he forgive without first demanding a dead body?1 Peter 2:24 says that the death of Jesus (his body) was so that they might be saved, and states that because of this they are saved.
He didn't have to die for you. But God loved/loves you even though you are guilty of sin/rejecting him (Romans 5:8).Yes, I agree. If I sin I have to pay price. Price is death.
Why did Jesus have to die(to be killed) so I can be forgiven? why did He have to shed His blood for me?
good question. Why can't men save themselves?
But why did salvation require a dead body? Why cannot he forgive without first demanding a dead body?
I can forgive without demanding a dead body. Why cannot God?
We are told that Jesus died for our sins, because otherwise God could not forgive us. That makes no sense to me. If God wanted to forgive, why doesn't he just forgive? Why does he need the death of his son in order to forgive us?
Why can't I save myself? Why can't I pay price myself? Wouldn't it be Justice?
I am not arguing with you, guys. I believe that I can not save myself. I believe that it was important that Father would send His Son who would be our Savior. I know why without Savior Father can not forgive us.What would you suggest you could do to pay for your sins?
Do you have scripture to support your suggestions?
I am not arguing with you, guys. I believe that I can not save myself. I believe that it was important that Father would send His Son who would be our Savior. I know why without Savior Father can not forgive us.
But I want to know if you know "why". So far you did not show me you know the answer.
So, we are sinners. No sinner can enter Father 's Kingdom.
God is Mercy and God is Justice. What is Justice(price) for any sin? The answer is death. It is not only physical death but it is also spiritual death. What is spiritual death? It is SEPARATION from God's presence.
So, if God forgives me He will show Mercy but He will rob Justice. If God punishes me He will do Justice but He will rob Mercy. That is why we need Savior.
But how does it work? How does INFINITE ATONEMENT satisfy both Mercy and Justice? Do you know? That is all I want to know from you.
One more time, we have to remember one important thing that God is NOT only Justice and He is NOT only Mercy. He is both.
If God punishes atheists for all their sins and sends them to hell for ever and ever(by the way the Bible doesn't have this claim that someone will be in hell forever) then God will rob Mercy and this people will never know what God's Mercy is.
If God forgives them for their sins then God will rob Justice. This people will never know that God is Just and how He is just.
The Atonement is the answer. But how? Do you know?
I agree. I want you to tell how it works. Many people do not understand. How is God robbing justice when Jesus took on your penalty as a substitutional sacrifice? Justice was met through Jesus.
I will do nothing with this verse but I will ask you a question: where does it say: they will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction "for ever and ever"?You posted "(by the way the Bible doesn't have this claim that someone will be in hell forever)"
What do you do with the following verse?
1 Thess 1:8 in blazing fire. He will inflict vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might
because God cannot be around sin
and the shedding of blood is the only way to forgive sin. I am not sure why that is.
