Nimbo, I sent a PM, and as I have said in another post on this thread. NO ONE can answer why or say that God didn't create bad or evil. NO ONE except God. Only opinions from us can be offered, proof, fact, not possible. We could debate for 10 years and we still wouldn't have a definite answer.Nimbo said:So there is a Lord and no other. He formed the light and CREATED THE DARKNESS. Again, WHY?
I believe rebelling againts God = evil, made possible by allowing free will. 1st sin in heaven was made by the falling angel ribelling against God. 1st sin in mankind was caused by Adam not obeying God's instruction not to eat the fruit.Nimbo said:But if God was the CREATOR of "ALL" and I MEAN EVERY SINGLE FREAKING THING, then He must have CREATED EVIL.
Nimbo said:What was His purpose in doing so? I am looking for answers from facts, evidence, and logic and reason. I have heard this question many times: Why did God create Satan and evil, and why did He allow Lucipher (Satan) to betray Him in heaven? And why did He cast Satan down to Earth where He also created Adam afterward? Because He did create Adam in a place where Satan was roaming, did He not expect humans to sin? And if He knew humans were going to sin, then why did God react to the eating of the fruit from the tree with such anger and wrath?
Well said. We do not know the answers to everything, nor will we. Why did God create evil? I really don't care why He did, He has his reasons, his plan. I'm just glad to be on the right side. The things I don't know, I'll ask the Lord. If I don't know in this life, I'll ask Him when I see Him. If He doesn't want to answer certain things, so be it, it's not meant for me to know. I can answer your question, but it will be speculation - it is a dangerous place to speculate about god.TheTruthinFiction said:We are not connecting. God's intentions are not known to anyone, no matter how much they tell you they are known. It would be an opinion that God wouldn't want us to be a group of clones. If you created something would you want it to be a simple thing or a complex thing? Also without putting evil or bad why would you believe in a God? If you woke up everyday, everyone smiled at you, it never rained, you never got sick, why would you want to reach Heaven, where those things are rewarded?
I do believe that evil or bad was created for us to struggle and rise above, by having faith in God.
It's a common, I want to use the word, "misconception" but I don't want to come off as self-righteous either, but it is common for a majority of us Christians to believe that God doesn't create evil. Here is hopefully, a helpful Bible quote.
NIV:
Isaiah 45:5-7: I am the LORD and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of it's setting men may know there is none besides me. I am the LORD, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster, I the LORD, do all of the these things.
this is a loaded question..............in this age of great media and good teachers on every corner, such a question is intended to start silly strife and to promote wrong doingNimbo said:What was His purpose in doing so? Dear Jehusarrow, Welcome to the forums. I disagree with what you wrote as Nimbo is sincerely seeking an answer to these questions. I don't believe God created evil, but if you read the responses you will see that others believe he did. This is the proper forum for this question. Blessings, Taperojehusarrow said:this is a loaded question..............in this age of great media and good teachers on every corner, such a question is intended to start silly strife and to promote wrong doing
Nimbo said:Thanks again for all the answers. I think I should mention that when I type in CAPITALS and use exclamations that I'm not YELLING or getting angry!!!! Rather I'm just emphasizing a point.
So far, the free will idea is the most logical. And what Norwood said might be true: that if we are to experience love, then there would need to be something that would enable us to not feel love, as a means of differentiating the two ends of the spectrum. Which would make me wonder what heaven is like, since there's no evil or bad or darkness. Does that mean you can't experience love in Heaven?
Any other theories or thoughts on why a loving almighty being would allow his creation to go wrong? People often say that if God is all love and He created us, they see it as an "experiment gone totally wrong," and for that reason they don't feel as if God is Almighty and in control of his creation. Therefore, they deny God. And understanding their point of view, they have great reason to feel that way.
I find most evil and sinful things to be selfish acts. when we take the focus off of self we are less likely to sin, or do evil. That is also tied to free will. the will to serve God, or to serve self, or to serve any master we but above God.Nimbo said:Yeah I'm just looking for the absolute honest brutal truth. And when I find it, I can then realy it and teach it to other people, the people who ask me this question time and time again.
If no one knows here, can someone point me to another forum or website where they answer this question (or at least try to)? Thanks again.
The free will theory still sounds the most logical. Any other theories, thoughts ideas??
