God created Adam (and through him all humans) to love Him, for His glory, and for His pleasure. I think that about covers it.

Not in the least, does it cover it.

#1. Leaving it at that, you can't explain what it means to be, "For His Pleasure". It begs to be defined and it can be sufficiently defined to sustain our journey home.

#2. You overlook "Joint-heir-ship" with Jesus Christ and what that means to not Him, but also to the father as well as you.

I believe I just finished posting a paper on that touching on that subject. I thought you read it. Was I not clear enough? Did you disagree with it? "....Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him" 1 Cor.2:9

Of course, it's not like we don't get any benefit from being created . . . Despite all the hardships of life I'm glad to be here and live for my God, love Him back (which I enjoy very much doing), and in the future be with Him forever.

All you wrote implied salvation was about us.... Nothing for the Father and Christ Jesus and that by it His gift we might "see" ... "what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ" [Eph.3:9]

It's remarkable! God knew all that, and still went ahead, planning it. I'm in awe. I call that real LOVE.
Like no other.

God wanted Sons, Human-Divinity as Jesus became, He had no other choice. And the hosts of Heaven were looking on.

I think "for His pleasure" does cover what you mentioned. That is a broad term (it's whatever He wants, including, but also specifically, love and glory).

It begs to be defined and it can be sufficiently defined to sustain our journey home.

I don't know if I have to necessarily define His "pleasure" outside of what I know and understand what He already wants from me to please Him. I'm always trying to understand His will. If there's more, He'll let us know.

#2. You overlook "Joint-heir-ship" with Jesus Christ and what that means to not Him, but also to the father as well as you.

This is about "Why did God create Adam?" Why was the process started? When the offer of grace is accepted (and all that entails) to have joint heirship with Jesus Christ I'm sure and have no doubt "pleases" the Father.

I believe I just finished posting a paper on that touching on that subject. I thought you read it. Was I not clear enough?

I believe I understood you just fine. However, I am now wondering about the reverse with you and me . . .

No, sounds wonderful to me.

Not ALL that I wrote. I addressed reasons for Him too.

Hmmm. I'm sensing this is being made more complicated than it need be. It started off so good too.

?????

God Bless

I don't think anyone really truly knows why God created us. It's not like any of us knows what God had in mind when he created us. People like to think they know why we are here and try to support their reasoning with various scripture. I find that quite amusing and somewhat natural to propose ideas on why we are here and what our purpose is. The fact of the matter is that we are here and God had a reason for creating us. That's all I'll ever claim to really know about our creation. God's reasoning and thoughts go far beyond our own, so I'm not going to try to solve the biggest mystery that life offers.

But it is not a mystery. Jesus demonstrated it to us by His life and the Apostles explained it in the accounts they wrote for us to read.

What did God have in mind when creating humankind?

Jn 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God

Lk 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Jn 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Jn 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Obad 1:21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

what is man suppose to become at the resurrections?

we wont be flesh and blood
we will be spirit beings
we wont be angels

what is left?
