God created Adam (and through him all humans) to love Him, for His glory, and for His pleasure. I think that about covers it.
Not in the least, does it cover it.
#1. Leaving it at that, you can't explain what it means to be, "For His Pleasure". It begs to be defined and it can be sufficiently defined to sustain our journey home.
#2. You overlook "Joint-heir-ship" with Jesus Christ and what that means to not Him, but also to the father as well as you.
I believe I just finished posting a paper on that touching on that subject. I thought you read it. Was I not clear enough? Did you disagree with it? "....Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him" 1 Cor.2:9
Of course, it's not like we don't get any benefit from being created . . .Despite all the hardships of life I'm glad to be here and live for my God, love Him back (which I enjoy very much doing), and in the future be with Him forever.
All you wrote implied salvation was about us.... Nothing for the Father and Christ Jesus and that by it His gift we might "see" ... "what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ" [Eph.3:9]
It's remarkable! God knew all that, and still went ahead, planning it. I'm in awe.I call that real LOVE. Like no other.
God wanted Sons, Human-Divinity as Jesus became, He had no other choice. And the hosts of Heaven were looking on.
