• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why can't we solve our problems?

Are they too difficult? Thoughts?

The double standards and intolerance of certain groups makes that impossible. They preach tolerance, yet give none. They preach compromise, yet do not themselves. They preach to respect, but have none themselves. They cry foul, when there is no foul.

How can you deal with this kind of group?

We do solve some problems ... by the grace of God.

But, like in our private lives ... when you solve one problem, ... another one takes its place.

It also strikes me that some problems require a tremendous societal focus ... and sacrifice, ... and until we are steeled to make the sacrifice, ... nothing will really be solved.

I find that the same applies ... to smaller settings and scopes (i.e. households, businesses, organizations, etc.)

The people as a whole will never be able to solve our problems. But the people of God not only solve their own problems through faith in Christ but are markedly known by this fact. The few must lead the many therefore in showing the world how to do it; that is, live this life.

If we people of God only did, if we only would.

One pastor has said that the global Body of Christ has enough wealth in hand on this very day to make sure no Christian on the planet ever goes homeless or naked or hungry.

But we don't. Pastors love to quote 2 Corinthians 9 but refuse to teach 2 Corinthians 8, as though they don't understand that chapter 8 must happen before chapter 9 can happen.

We can't solve our problems because we have corrupted God's way to the point that good and evil have blended together and you have good being called evil and evil is being called good.

What problems are you talking about?
Yes . . . and I would say it depends on the individual you are talking about.

In case someone has a trouble because of living a selfish life, it could be that God is resisting that person >

"God resists the proud" (in James 4:6 and also in 1 Peter 5:5).

And there are problems because of persecution by people who do not want what is right; so . . . you can't change the character of such people . . . though God can and He uses our prayers.

And there are people who are caring and they have problems; well, God takes care of these troubles, even by using them for His good purpose . . . like He did with Joseph > Genesis 37-50.

So, then, the ones who really have a problem could be the ones whom God is resisting; and if you try to override God by trying to solve their problems only situationally . . . you might have a problem by trying to stand up against how God is dealing with that proud person > "without Me you can do nothing." (in John 15:5)
