I use to want to be christian but after a lot of hard thinking i relised christianity aint for me. I already know the christian god does not exist but i do believe there is a superior being. Christians believe their relgion is the right one but they don't support their relgion with intellect and insight. I can ask an average christian why they believe and they will say nothing more then "because i can feel it in my heart" thats a lame excuse. The truth is christians don't know for sure if their religion is the right one and their to scared to admit it. Why not just drop christianity and conisder the fact that there is a god we just dont know him?

Well, you are asking for human beings to describe for you the indescribable. That does not mean there aren't logical reasons to believe in Christ.

I strongly suggest that you read, "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. Lee Strobel was a journalist and an atheist. His wife suddenly announced her conversion to Christianity and in a pursuit to prove to her the error of her belief, this man became a believer.

You need to seek out whatever works for you. As for me I have had many crazy experiences with God to know that he is there and the almighty. I try to stear clear of the religion thing though because to often today religion can so easily fall into an almost cult like thing. I believe in my spirital walk with God and our relationship together. Mabe pray for guidance with those issues. I did and that was the only way I got my answer.

See thats the thing i can't call on god. I have no clue who god is and christians don't either.

Well, you have determined that somehow...I believe that you need to search for God, and I think you will find Him if you desire to find Him with all your heart. God can be known. It is just that God cannot be described as adequately as we would like.

It's impossbile to know god if there is one out there. You just cant know him on a personal level if he is not in this world. Ive searched in the past more then enough and i still have no answers. But i have reason to believe christianity is false teaching so i will no longer search for "this so called god" i will find out the truth when i die.

After death will be too late to establish a relationship with him.

Look, I once felt very similar. I thought Christians were a bunch of hypocrites. I found out, though, maybe we all are, but you know what, it changes nothing about who God is.

God is real. You can have a relationship with Him. It is up to you.

How do you explain this change in me? I once was a very critical and angry person. I hated Christians to the point that I read the Bible solely to catch them in their hypocrisy. Today, I am a Christian, and my heart is absolutely filled with love. I tell you today that I love you and that I would die for you rather than allow you to die without God. I do not say this lightly. I do not exaggerate, and I do not say this because our paths will never cross. I say this because it is really, truly how I feel about every single person in the world.

Im certian christianity is unreal and your god can't make me think different. Christians don't have reason to believe what they believe they just simply believe it because it sounds good and they want to. Your not anymore safe then i am because when the world ends you have no clue what the results will be. Simple as that. This change in you was done by you and only you.

No. You are wrong. I didn't just wake up one morning and decide to be nice that day. I was HAPPY the way I was. I ENJOYED verbally assaulting others. Plus, it helped me immensely in my career.

I BECAME the person that I am today because of Jesus Christ. That is the truth. You accept it or reject it.

Okay yea jesus was a real man but that doesn't make him the messiah you beleive thats the truth. Look i don't know how you changed or why you changed fact still remains jesus is not the truth and the only way. My stance makes a lot of sense i believe that there is a superior being out there that is unknown to mankind but i rufuse to buy into B.S. or christianity. But according to your god im already going to hell im already evil. Oh yeah and im assuming there are thousands of christians signed up to this site how many of them do you actually think are true devoted christians? my point is not only is christianity bull its also a watered down religion full of people who arent true christians and most of them take this stance to try and save themselves because they have fears.

We are all sinners. Your sin is no greater than mine. Tell me what about Christianity in particular angers you? I ask this because 1) you have come to a Christian website, and 2) you have not yet commented negatively on any other religion by name.

God created the capacity of evil when He created the capacity for good. This in a nutshell is free will. This does not mean that God created evil things, but that things He created BECAME evil later on.

Will you read the book I suggested? It seems a little rash to dismiss Christianity without searching every avenue for the validity of it.

Yes, Jesus does ask that from each of us. We must be willing to give our entire lives over to Him. You know, when I got on my knees to pray that night, I thought I could not live like THAT, but when I got up, instead, I found freedom.

JMichael, your name intrigues me. I have a nephew by this name. Do you have an older sister with the initial of M and a younger brother with the initial of J. Is your last name with an initial of H? Is your Mom's name C and your Dad's name M? If so, I believe you are speaking to your aunt Lisa.

Okay, the situation with my nephew is really bad. I haven't been allowed to see him for many years now. He is actually my husband's blood kin, but his mother deserted him when he was small, and I took care of him and his brother and sister for a year.

Let me say this on the subject. At the very least, keep an open mind and heart on the subject of God. Pursue the idea that there is a God and eventually you will find Him.

Can you tell me more of your Christian background? What specific things turned you against Christianity? Was it just not being able to feel the presence of God or was there more to it? If this gets too private, feel free to PM me.

Same here.
JM, I recognize that you might not have connected with God the way you had hoped, but it's not fair to declare what others' experiences have been. Maybe the Christians you knew expressed this. The ones I know are very convinced of God's reality.

Set aside religion for a minute... if there is no God, why not?

Is there a reason that an invisible being would be so wrong in this world...

Are there no invisible beings or forces at all?

You don't need to answer.

Well like i said i defiantly think that there is some god out there but i dont see how any human can know him. I know it appears to you guys that im just blowing off christianity but trust me ive done my searching lots of it. You guys say you had experiences where you connected with god? sounds abusrd. And if your god is real he should be connecting with people who don't believe in him the most. Anyways i know what i believe and noone can convince me otherwise unless god himself stuck his head threw my ceiling and said "look here i am"
