I kind of lost my faith, a lot. I use to be all happy and giggly. Amd now, I hate it. I cry almost every single night of my life, and I sometime don't even touch the Bible. I kept a promise to my boyfriend, that I won't cut no more, and I haven't because I do truely love him. But I mean, I wonder every single day, "Why believe in something, that you can't see, hear, or touch?" I'm sorry if this is long, but I got to spit this out.

Because He is real :)

You can't see with the physical eye alot of things that are real example microscopic things bugs etc.. but with a microscope we can prove they are there and well with God yes we can't see him with our physical eyes but if we walk with Him we can definitely see proof he is real as well.

Your unhappiness and sadness proves you are lost again.

Did you ever believe in God? we cant see him, because he is too powerful for us, do you think you can take seeing him...He is so bright, because he is faultless and he doesnt have any flaw in him.

Although if you believe in God, you are able to feel him all the time, he is invisible but yet visible, and it is so true.

At the risk of sounding impertinent, I want to congratulate you on being 15 years with 20 children. :)

It has been my experience that people change behavior for a reason. Any recollection as to how long it has been since you were all happy and giggly? Any idea what event(s) happened that changed you so that you cry almost every single night?

Getting back to the question (a very good one by the way). I am not aware of any process or chant that makes God visible. For me, the invisibility of God is not a problem because of what I understand to be the evidence of God's existence. For example, the Big Bang theory of the creation of the universe may be correct and therefore poses a problem for those who interpret the creation story in Genesis literally. The only challenge that I am aware of with the Big Bang is there is no explanation where the matter came from that started the reaction. For me, the matter to start the Big Bang was God's doing.

Thus, I have what I interpret to be evidence of God's existense without having ever seen God.

But, I have seen God many times. Every time someone shows kindness or compassion to another, that is God at work through that person. It amazes me how many faces and skin colors God seems to have.

Anyway, that's a crude explanation of how I can believe in something that is "invisible".

Please know you are under no obligation to answer the questions posed above. It can be a little scary to be open with a group of strangers out in cyberspace.

Sincerely,

OldChurchGuy

Here, here! ^_^ I can't even keep 15 goldfish going.

I wonder every single day, "Why believe in something, that you can't see, hear, or touch?"

I am so glad that God is a constant, always there even when the rest of life falls apart.... people drift out of my life, situations change, friends or relatives can't be trusted, employers lose stability. God is like a strong magnet that keeps me pulled together.

As for being invisible, sometimes I'm glad He is. Less confrontational, while more of a sense that He's always there. I find so many stories of other invisible forces in the world, it doesn't bother me that I have found a trustworthy One.

If you could see God in all his fullness and glory you would die. The Bible says that no man can see God and live. God is Light and all powerful. His brightness alone would kill a man as we are only dust.

Also, God is a Spirit and we know Him by His Holy Spirit that is in us and His Word (the Bible). Besides the spiritual reasons there is an intellectual reason. I would read Evidence Demands A Verdict by Josh McDowell concerning Bible. This would stand up in court.

Yes, you don't see microscopic things or the wind.

Hi precious,

You can't see or touch the love from human beings but you know it's there. You can hear them speak of it of course, but you only take on faith that it's there.

So it is with God, since God is real and truth and Spirit, and we hear by His word. It comes by faith. With humans we know we're loved because of their actions. With God it is the same as well; he gave Jesus to die for our sins and raised him from the dead. We see love in other Christians where God has changed their lives. We try to think of the good things and reckon them to God, in other words, to know this came from God.

I'm so glad your not cutting hon, that's awesome.

Blessings,
tapero

You can't see air but you believe in it. You can feel it. You can hear it. You can see it's effects.

It's the same with God. You may not be able to gaze at Him, but you can feel him inside you when you please him, when you do something good, when you encourage other people and make them happy. You can hear Him when He talks to you, not a physical voice, but through signs and actions in your life. How many times have you battle with something only to have a service at church that very day addressing your issue? Or someone out of the blue drop by to talk to you. You can see His effects in other people who are stricing to be Godly, in their actions, words and love.

To believe in God you need to believe with your heart, body and mind. If you neglect one, I feel a persons faith will lapse until they pick it back up. What I mean is, I believe with my heart, because I want to believe in a God that loves us so much that he sacrificed His son for us. That to me is the pinnacle of love, self sacrifice. I believe with my body through my actions and words. I do and say things which I belive will please God, and I hear and receive things from others who do likewise. My mind believes in God because I understand the Bible and it's Word, not all of it of course, but enough to push out any doubts I used to have about the authority of it.

When you have all these things, you are on the right path I feel. I would encourage you to sign up to an e-mail group that sends you daily devotional messages. If you don't read the Bible (I can understand that because I don't read it half as much as I should) these e-mails may speak to you and address problems you are having. But also, they are like little God-shots each day, which are never a bad thing. :)

All the best, God bless,
Digit

God knows you even if you hide from Him, Please don't shut Him out.
KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED BY HIM....

Psalm 139:
1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.

2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

SWEETHEART, tell God you are still with Him because I know He is still with you.
You are loved....

"Why believe in something, that you can't see, hear, or touch?"

Do you believe that Hitler was real? Why? or Why not?

How can they wad up the image on a piece of paper and send it through a phone line (fax) or satellite?

What do you believe?
What happens when you die?
Where did Mankind come from?
Who was Jesus?

God is not afraid of your questions-just earnestly ask.

The human eye is limited to what it can see. For example, there are more colors that exist but you can't see them and/or atoms and/or the wind. I'm a christian spiritually first and intellectually second. The Bible has overwhelming evidence that supports it to the point where its the most true book in the world. Evidence that Demands A Verdict by Josh McDowell would stand up in court and Examine the Evidence by Muncaster(who was once an athiest but now a christian).

If God and the angels really came in their full glory, you would be dead because this human body couldn't take it. Jesus came in human form but He wasn't in His full glory they He is in heaven.

Good question. Do you believe in gravity? Do you believe in air? You believe in gravity not because you see it, but because you are affected by it. The same with air. Now, you cannot see God, but I believe in him by the affect he does on my life. Pray, and ask God for help. Read the Bible for encouragement, and continue to ask for help. If you wish, I'll pray for you, but whatever it is wrong, don't be afraid to ask for God's help. After all, he created you. Bless you.
