From my past threads , I notice that a lot of people here are not in a relationship or have never been in a relationship. Why do you think you are single? Is it because you are too picky ,you have high expectations, you are waiting on God time , you are not attractive, or outgoing, All the good ones are married .... why are you single ? LOL

Haha seriously though I guess it's because I've never accepted anyone's offer to go out, and I've never asked anyone to go out... therefore = 0 times I've went out with someone Lack of confidence could be thrown in there too. I don't think about it, but deep down maybe it's also a fear of rejection. That I might not be good enough to please my partner in a relationship, just stuff like that.

For me I believe it's because I've never been very outgoing and I really don't know how to "get" a girl I guess...plus whenever I get crushes on girls they end up finding out about it and leaving me..or they are already taken..

Sometimes I really don't want to be single, but I really don't know what can be done about it.

A combination of several contributing factors. Most important is the fact that I have very deep feelings for a girl that is not a Christian, and that is, atleast for me, an absolute dealbreaker. There are some other factors in play, mostly to do with family history and such. So yeah I'm single by choice, and that is fine, got plenty of other things to focus on.

Though I'm slowly becoming less shy and now I have to worry about not being so rude. I tend to just blurt things out before I can remember that I'm supposed to be shy. Eh.

I'm fairly shy, and once people get to know me, they get a tad threatened by my blunt honesty. My last girlfriend criticized me for being 'too nice' as well.

I'm not the most attractive person, and I don't tend to fit in with most social groups around here. I'm a tall guy with long hair and a beard, with a strange sense of humour and a love of metal. Most people round here are into the "urban/ghetto" scene, and aren't particularly fond of people like myself.

If I lived up in Scotland, I'd probably be fine.

Because every time I find a girl I like she is uninterested, and either cuts me out of her life once I tell her or tries to let me down nicely, but either finds me too nice, or something else, without ever giving me a shot. I've never been on a date, my only relationship started over the internet and it's kind of hard to date someone almost the entire north-south distance of the continental US away. How can you tell I won't be right for you if you never give me a chance? But apparently everyone knows, so... I'm single. And alone. And apparently either not good enough for anyone, too good for anyone, or a mixture of the two.

I was single for a long time b/c I hadn't met someone that "got" me and was compatible with me.

And I was in a serious relationship that hurt me terribly when it ended and it took me a while to trust someone in that way again.

And i'm more than a little shy- I don't know how my looks factor into this but I think my shyness keeps and kept me from a relationship and meeting compatible men for a long time.

Honestly I think I am single because I feel I am not pretty , skinny , or have long enough hair for most men among other things also I am very shy and reserved until I get to know someone on top of that i've never been asked out or have the guts to ask anyone out plus I think a guy should be the one doing it.Also i've been called a goody too shoes a few too many times guys don't always like that quality.Plus being 'cute' gets you no where these days.That's my 2 cents.
