I'm sure you know the story of the drowning man who refused help from a life raft, a boat, and a coastguard helicopter because he was waiting for God to save him, and then when he got to Heaven God asked him why he didn't accept the three chances to be saved that He sent.

I believe God arranges every possible good thing for us, but it is up to us to accept them or not. I know people who have snubbed others who may have been great partners for them because they were waiting for the perfect one sent from God. Just because someone wants a beam of light from Heaven to designate his/her One True Love doesn't mean that will happen. God doesn't give us designer miracles according to our desires.

Naomi did have to help Ruth and Boaz get together, after all. It's not like God came down in person and locked them in a room together.

WOW , it is sad to read this thread. Be happy with who you are guys. Being shy, akward,nice, ..... are not bad characteristic.I have seen lot of so called shy people in relationship. It has nothing to do with why you are single. There is someone out there for everyone depsite our short coming. The world will be quite boring if every body was outgoing. Most outgoing people suffer from insecurities.....

Because I waited two years for somebody that wasn't worth the time of day. But I learned my lesson though. Never give your heart to someone who doesn't deserve it...

Basically, I turned down a lot of great girls, expecting to end up with a certain person. But things did not work out as I had expected and here I am, available...

Now it's just a matter of meeting a quality woman who is what I am looking for.

I don't have self esteem issues. I'm good looking, smart, funny, romantic, sweet, kind, I love God, I'm ambitious, confident and I dress well. I'm not a shy person, though I could always stand to be even MORE out-going with women. So I don't believe it's a character flaw keeping me single. It was mostly a certain decision I had made two years ago, which brought me here...

So, now it's up to God, or whatever, to bring the right gal to me (whomever she - or they - may be...)
