Why are you single?

so i thought this might be kind of a fun thread you can be as serious or sarcastic as you wish!
my reason is:

because i was born that way

It's more fun to tell other people that I know why THEY are single.

I'm single b/c it takes a special man to open his heart up to a single mom and her kids and I'm content with waiting for the one that is going to be that man for me/my kids.

This isn't about why I'm anti-divorce. I don't intend to make it that way. Perhaps you took what I said too personally? I didn't intend it to be taken that way at all.

Because I got dumped. (Not for insufficient reason...took me a while to realize that and fix it.)

Now I'm single because I'm terrible at the dating scene and "stepping up my game" as one of my friends said. So I've almost given up, except it still is really lonely and I would like nothing better than to not be single...or at least have a close friend that I can see and talk to. (AIM is fine, but I place a lot of value on hugs.)
