Why are we afraid to be bold?

The one person in that photograph who actually had the armor of God was the man in front of the tanks. That you cannot see that or will not see that I find disturbing.

AMEN and AMEN!

That picture of humble stance, in the face of overwhelming power, is an icon of the crucifixion.

Let us not forget that one of our symbols is the Lamb upon the throne - and that Lamb's throat is slit.

What does that say about how we should engage one another?

Christ would want us to fight for people to be treated with dignity and respect, especially the ones ostracized and demonized by modern day Pharisees.

Because I believe in what my Holy Bible says I hope I'm not considered an ostracizing, demonizing, modern day Pharisee. Not that I said believe in it. I didn't say understand everything in it. Even Billy Graham admitted to not understanding everything in it but his solution, "Accept it by faith."

Jesus would not treat homosexuals with disdain...in fact he would have had compassion for them because of the way some Christians treat them. Especially the ones full of their own righteousness.

Absolutely He would. Of course, a homosexual who really met Jesus would be down on his/her knees humbly begging His forgiveness, and not standing proudly as he/she does now. He would forgive and tell him/her to go and sin no more...

I have also never seen you hack, brother.
I did not mean to imply that YOUR spiritual growth is in a state of arrested development.

No problem. There is a lot of misunderstanding in the world. I probably have contributed more than my share unfortunately.

People can believe homosexaul sex is a sin AND treat homosexuals with dignity and respect, it's possible, but many people on this board miss the concept of love one another etc...

Nobody's doing that. You are exaggerating in order to justify your own anger. Calm down.

Actually``I am not angry, I am disgusted by Christians who claim Christ's love but turn around and treat people who are already ostracized by society like garbage.

It's all done in Jesus' name, the condemnation, alienation, etc which means it's perverse, immoral and wrong.

While I have seen that photgraph before, this time I didn't recognize it, and truly did miss the detail of the man standing there.

My apologies. All I caught were the tanks, and that is what my comments were concerning.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I an understand everyone's astonishment at my response now! Now, I trust you all can understand my responses!

Yes, choose a sin, be a martyr.

The condemnation that you are perceiving is merely the exposure of the truth of God's Word concerning the sin of homosexuality. You mistake it for our condemnation and it isn't. So, you try to "kill the messenger", which is a phenomenon we see all too often.

We expose the sin, by the Word, and let God do the convicting. That conviction is mostly felt as condemnation by others---it isn't. It is the Holy Spirit speaking to that person that they are going down the wrong road in life. He wants them to turn back, and follow Him and His ways. That, my friend, is the message of LOVE and LIFE! It is not perverse, immoral or wrong in any way!

God is hardly convicting anyone here...it's people convicting people. Some people believe they have a Holy Book to back them up...whether that is true or not remains to be seen.
