Anything over the internet isn't evidence to me,.. it's hearsay.
The Internet is easier, but if you would rather go to a library, great!

When I was a creationist, it took one trip to the library for me to see for myself the amazing array of evidence for evolution.

Belief is evidence? I believe you are wrong about that. Does my belief prove you are wrong?

I didn't say belief is evidence, that's where you faith haters get it mixed up.

Read the Scripture for what it plainly says, without your biases.

Ah, faith is evidence, but belief isn't? What is the difference?

What you see, feel, experience of wind is faith.

How you use the word "belief" is more like the "hope" in that verse.

But really, how abstract all those words have become is due to philosophers playing around with them for centuries.

In the Hebrew, faith is staking a tent down with pegs.

Just no. The experience of wind is experience.

In English, faith has two meanings: 1) trust and 2) the "hope" or belief in things with no evidence as in Heb 11.

Trust is rooted in evidence. I have faith a chair will hold me; I have trust a chair will hold; I have evidence that the chair will hold me because I have sat in that chair before and it held me; I've sat in that chair a thousand times before and it always held me.

I have evidence that a new chair will hold me because every chair that is called a chair that I've ever sat in has held me.

Faith in God is nothing like any of that. I don't feel a god on my face; I don't smell any gods; I don't see any gods; I don't hear any gods; I don't taste any gods.

I can examine that your experience that a park bench has been freshly painted; I can't examine your experience that a god exists.

Like I said, the words have been played with for quite some time.

Indulge me. Your own?

Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

*Faith = evidence

Ah, so staking a tent down with pegs is called faith, and such faith is evidence (or so you tell us).

Very well them. Let it hearby be known that I stake down this claim with pegs, that you are wrong. ;)

You assume that something is transitional because you believe in evolution.
I believe nothing is transitional because God created kinds and that one kind cannot change into another kind.
No. I describe them as transitional because they contain traits of two groups.

The explanation I favour for these transitional forms is that they are closely related evolutionary families. Evolution is a useful explanation and is consistent with evidence without resorting to supernatural intervention.

And yet, you're the only person I've run across that says faith is experience.

Again,

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.

Again, that's not what you said. See the first quote. You said experience is faith. That's just wrong and that's not what Hebrews says.
