Actually, it's not clear whether Adam was instructed to name the animals.

Scripture does say that God brought the animals before Adam to see what he would name them.

It also hints that the whole reason for this was for Adam to realize he needed a helper like himself.

So, is science's real task to bring man and woman together?

If so, some 'scientific' endeavors seem to be falling real short of this.

Therefore, if it isn't upholding the household prescribed by the Creator, then it isn't good science.
