Listen, we love our children. We may not be proud of them, and we may try and correct their actions but we love them.
When they are grown and out of our control, we let them go. At times they hurt us beyond imagination. At other times we would rather have nothing to do with them "tough love". Yet our hearts yearn for them. They have free will. We don't approve of their lifestyles, and pray that they get saved, but in the end it is their free will.
Ok, I agree, but if you are going to start with John, let's finish with it.Andrew said:Then why did he come not to condemn man but to save man? Let's face it we were all terrible sinners -- all of us broke every law -- b4 we were saved. So if God hated us then, why did he bother to save us by sacrificing his Son?
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
2 Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Finally, did the father hate the prodigal son at any time he was away living in sin?
This is a part that a lot of people miss, I think due in part because 'Christian' has lost it's meaning, and due in part to people not understanding that the knowledge of good was just as deadly as the knowledge of evil. John said to some to go away until they show fruits of repentance, and I believe repentance is missing. If one has repented of sin, turned to Jesus, then they are no longer under a schoolmaster. The law is for the unrighteous.Andrew said:I hope you mean changing from sinner to Christian, and not using the Law today to guide or improve the Christian's behaviour.
Ga 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
To preach the Law to "improve Christian holiness" is to minister death to the Christian.
Svt4Him said:This does not make a Christian lukewarm.
What is the law for? For the unrighteous, not for the righteous. My sins are in remission, they are blown away.
Hi Svt4him,
Please tell me ,HOW are your sins in remission?
HOW are they blown away?
What is the process?

I love Jude 3.
mine sez:..."encourage you to FIGHT HARD FOR THE TRUE FAITH delivered once to all the saints." well,........
The reason I am lukewarm is; ( I hope you aren't sorry you asked )
I enjoy the thrill of looking over the edge. ...Seeing how far I can go before God slamdunks me!...I know that is stupid but I was born with curiousity before I knew what it was.
There are times that I know I must make Him sick, or weep, or disappointed
and there is where I have discovered HIS MERCY, and there is where I have discovered that WHILE I am a sinner, HE DIED FOR ME!!!... in His eternal, perpetual, (once and for all) death He reaches out and EMBRACES ME.
so far He has not vomitted me.
I have lived IN His vomit chamber much of my life, but I have learned that it is much sweeter living IN HIS HEART, in the fellowship of his suffering, being FORMED into the pattern of HIS DEATH.
It is more exciting & enjoyable living as a 100% fanatic for Christ, not counting the cost, than living always concerned over which option is the most comfortable for me.
so you see , HE keeps me whether I am cold, hot, or lukewarm...whether I am a knowitall, Mr. humility, or lazy....in all circumstances I AM GOD'S PROPERTY, if you turned me inside-out, you will find written in my bone marrow; "PROPERTY OF JESUS CHRIST"...because I offer my body as aliving sacrifice (Rom. 12:1) every time I worship at THE ALTAR.

This is dangerous. Gods love is much better than sin. people are being deceived!!!!

They claim homosexuality is normal and blessed by God. They claim sexual activity is okay outside marriage, they scoff at most of Gods commandments and pervert scripture. What is going on? why is their faith so weak?
