Because money is seen as more important than morals and more respected by the majority.

More money equals more respect. Traditional morals, particularly Christian morals equals intolerance in this day and age.

Sin destroys lives whether people agree or not.

Too many good men have been doing nothing for 50 or more years. In the past, when we caught an evildoer, the punishment would be such that he was unlikely to offend again. Whether it was the death penalty for murder or rape, or a severe penalty for lesser offenses, it discouraged the propagation of evil. These days, the people who speak out against evil (e.g. Julian Assange) are punished more severely than those who commit it (e.g. accused pedophiles and slave traffickers, such as Ghislane Maxwell).

I don’t know if this is germane but the violent crime rate in the US has been on a steady decline since 1992. However, there has been a very slight rise since 2019. Whether this is statistically significant only time will tell.

Which would seem to suggest that there are factors at play other than the sinful nature of human beings. That's a very narrow minded oversimplification.
