Why are there so many different beliefs?

What do you think? Why do you think your belief is the one, compared to other religions? Have you ever considered where these other beliefs came from and how do you focus only on yours while ignoring other beliefs that could have as much a chance of being the real religion as yours?

My personal thoughts are God created diversity in humans to learn from each other.
Just as it would be rather dull if every flower were yellow, so it would be for humans to all be the same.

My faith is not threatened or diminished in some way because someone else is Buddhist, Jewish, Pagan or Atheist.

I learn from and respect all walks of life and I believe that is what God intended.

I think the basic threads that run through different religions and those that are spiritual but not religious are those of love and compassion.

Its humans that can't get along, not God.

Actually, christianity has overwhelming circumstantial evidence that supports it-so its quite easy spiritually and intellectually.

Why are their so many different beliefs?
Because we were made with a God shaped hole in our hearts, and we seek "God" or a god to fill it.

How do we know this one is right?
Because it is the only one that Has God reaching out to man. All other efforts are man's attempt to reach out to God in some fashion.
