From inspiration (where else?).
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.
Proverbs 30:5-6

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
Revelations 22:18-19

Just like life after death, you may not believe it is true, but you can not say it is false either. That is what I am arguing about.
What makes you think I don't believe it is true?

IF I am right, then it CAN answer the question in the OP perfectly. Then you can not use fossil record to argue against the Genesis 1.
That's a mighty big IF, one that has no supporting evidence AND contradicts scripture. That's a double whammy.

Don't ask too much. It is very good if such a IF exist can be logically made.

I am less than half your age, and even I can see at a glance the flaw in that logic. In fact, there is an actual name for that kind of flawed reasoning pattern, hold on, I will look up its name.
That's kind of the point.

By the way you respond, I guess you are a young kid no more than 30 years old. Am I right?

18, but it doesn't shock me that a stubborn old man doesn't want to acknowledge new ideas. Really, 30 is a kid to you? Patronizing much? Age does not guarantee wisdom, nor truth, just because something has been around for a long time doesn't mean it is true or what is best for the modern world. Perhaps if people didn't so strongly believe in an afterlife, they would value this one more.

Wisdom.

Do you know what that is?
How can you be wise about something you don't understand? If anything true wisdom would tell you that if you don't understand something, you can't defend its accuracy.

Definitely not.

The "qualifier" (in the parentheses) makes the substitution seemingly the same. Without the qualifier, you can easily see the discrepancy. That is the key of my argument.

two indepenent sets:

1. Students = 30
2. Students on the trip = 15

Either every or all can be used for set 2.

1 set, 1 subset

1. Students = 30
1a. Students (on the trip) = 15

Neither all nor every can be used for subset 1a. If 1a is a subset of 1, the appropriate subset term is HALF, NOT EVERY.

Get it?

What you are doing wrong is changing what is being measured, depending on what word you use.

ALL: students
EVERY: students on the trip

This makes two independent sets.

If you want to demonstrate a subset, both clauses must measure just students.

Then you can easily see that not every student attended the trip. Because there are some students who didn't, and they have to be included if they are in the same set.
