Who ever said the bible was written in heaven? I always got the impression that god was supposed to have inspired the writers to write his word. Why would god need to jot it down, god is not going to forget it.

Sarah, no offense, but I get the impression you know more theology than you're letting on; and are here just to play games.
You've already accused me of being a troll, now I'm accusing you of trolling.
If you want to have a serious discuss, instead of just making unlearned remarks about monotheism, etc., I'll be glad to listen.
Otherwise, I'm not going to sit here and educate you on very basic theology, while you sit there and make snide remarks about god [sic].

I am not, nor do I intend to be, a troll. But I am a cynic, to the extent that it is almost a compulsion. The fact that I like to point out flaws in the arguments of others doesn't make me a troll, and the fact that you can't find arguments that don't match your own ideas intelligent is insulting to a debate forum. I have no desire to fool people, I do know a lot about various religions. It is part of the reason I am atheist. I have no desire to hide that fact. If I find something someone said unintelligent, or if I don't completely understand it, then I will say so, without any social grace, because frankly, I am not great in that department.

It was a bit of a family practice to learn and discuss the religions of the world, what's wrong with that? Is it so impossible an idea that a child would be considering god at that young of an age?

Children are always underestimated, it makes me sad. I don't claim to be special in this, I think most kids can understand the concept of religion by age 8

Dépends who is teaching them what. And no they aren't held accountable for what they believe at this age, because they aren't mature enough to know.
For example the terrorrists in the Middle East teach boys to kill people.

You know, if you think about it, the devil does have logical reasons to hide himself rather than be open about his existence. Because if people were to see that he was real, that is almost as good of proof of god as god coming down from the heavens himself, and the devil wouldn't want people to believe.

Yes possibly.
But I do not really think he hides himself, he just transforms himself into "tasty forms" for mankind.
What I mean is he makes whatever mankind enjoys as pleasurable, appealing, and available quickly. Such as sexual immorality, lust, power, pride, wealth, great sounding teachers (but false ones), cool books, movies, games, that have violence, magic, etc. in them.
People just don't realize it, I have been guilty of the same. The point is Satan just makes himself look good and God like a lying, tricky, decietful, unloving being, when in fact its the other way around.
