Why are some people so unkind?

Not everyone thinks the same way, or has the same experiences. Empathy is often expected in places where it cannot logically exist. A tough cookie might not know a timid turtle very well.

I have had many dealings with bad and nasty people over the years and I believe that I have made most of them very sorry for their actions. You see I look like and acct like I am very timid but that is just on the surface.

The narcissistic sociopath always takes advantage of kindness... Sees it as weakness.

Never give up to them (unless it's to the benefit of all that's good). Even if they win the zero-sum games that they create, and force everyone into, take them on to the bitter end... Maybe they'll learn some wisdom if they're lucky.

It's true, I was saying the same thing yesterday about seeing right through them... They are fools, and likely cannot comprehend real wisdom.

For what it is worth, I know three people with Traumatic Brain Injury, and two Autistic, (one Asperger's), rather well, and I can testify to the fact that all these, though all different, do not speak or think the way most people do. Some simply do not have the capacity to deal with things 'nicely'.

Frankly, I find their straightforward manner very refreshing.

In saying this, I condemn myself, but it is worth mentioning that my standards will be used to measure me, not others.

Yes I feel for you as I can completely relate to your situation and I am very glad of your wisdom. I was about to tell you about one of my experiences with one of these tyrants but I decided I better not as it may come across to some people as me playing mister big man but I am proud of myself for defending my rights and dignity in the face of an attack.

Why are some people so unkind? I have been searching for the answer most of my life as I come across this strange phenomenon daily. But I am a big boy and I can take it.

Much of the world mistakenly uses the assumption of scarcity, so then people are unkind because they see you as eating their food that belongs to their family and living in shelter that they feel they deserve.

Your world of thinking can change dramatically if you switch to the "abundance" model where you can get whatever you want from life if you put in some effort to pursue it.

I know of more than one contributor to this site, who has been accused of narcissism, when I know for a fact it was not that at all, and not a matter of moral wrong.

I worked in a hospital about 20 years ago as a wardsman and I was hit a number of times by patients that were mentally ill and for the love of me I could never hit them back we must accept some abuse at times from people that are suffering from trauma and illness that is out of there control.

Yes, I think there is unkindness in all of us but some have it at a very high level and it can be intentional and damaging to many. I have given money to people on the street and I have also at times when asked for money not given so I guess that is a form of unkindness but it's the tyrants that we are really referring to the calculating mind controlling and relentless psychopathic pigs that act like nice guys to some and wicked to others that I despise and am happy to retaliate against.

Some people seem to think that a Christian should tolerate bullying and tyrants well that's not the case for all of us. Let me see here I know a good example the police turn up at an abusive scene and the policeman is a Christian so what should he do? I know the policeman should say to the offender excuse me sir would you mind hopping in the back of the police car I'm so sorry but I have to arrest you for your abusive behaviour I hope you don't mind. As you can see here the justice system wouldn't have much hope if this is how we are to treat our enemy.
