  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why are SDA so paraoid of Jesuits?

I can't put it all on Protestants either.
I heard a theory that some ergot rye mold had gotten into their crops.
It is a source of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). That could make you think someone cast a spell on you.

A study done of all colonial American accusations/trials other than Salem, where records were still extant, found a pretty clear pattern -- accusations centered around "class" (reversal of fortune, acting outside of one's economic strata). In general, change (social) was the issue. The author offered the (then contemporary with the study) day-care 'satanic abuse' accusations as a possible parallel -- a period of seismic shift in social realtions and structures related to heightened feeling of alarm and vigilance -- fear.

I don't think anyone needs to be alarmed about the Jesuits these days. You're more likely to be strummed at with an acoustic guitar than burned at the stake. They've gone native.

I love you for this comment!

I met a Jesuit priest once. In person. He was my friend's uncle and just the coolest, actually.

That ain't what their secret oath says.

there is no secret oath
the Jesuits do have an oath to be faithful to the Pope
and that is all the oath says
and the oaths of chastity, poverty and obedience

nothing secret about it

Alberto Magno Romero Rivera (September 19, 1935 – June 20, 1997) was an anti-Catholic religious activist who was the source of many of fundamentalist Christian author Jack Chick's conspiracy theories about the Vatican.

Chick promised to promote Alberto's claims even after he died. Rivera claimed to have been a Jesuit before becoming a Fundamentalist Protestant, and many of the stories Chick published about Rivera involve Jesuit conspiracies.

the secret Jesuit oath was a myth from the late 1800's early 1900's

if you look it up online you will see that the "oath" does not resemble Catholic writings, it has far more in common with the diabolical oaths associated with the sect known as Freemasons

If the oath is secret how do you know what it says? Are you a Jesuit pretending to be a former Catholic Protestant who knows what the Church really teaches that isn't in the Catechism?

Didn't he begin to believe the RCC was "mystery Babylon" in Revelation, as do the SDAs of today?
Allegations against Catholicism

According to Rivera, Jesuits are responsible for the creation of communism, Islam, and Nazism, and causing the World Wars, recession, the Jonestown Massacre, and the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy (a Catholic); he further claims that the Catholic Church wants to spread homosexuality and abortion, that the Charismatic Movement is a front for the Catholic Church, that the Popes are antichrists, and that the Catholic Church is the harlot of Babylon.[4]
He has also claimed that the Jesuits were the masterminds behind the Medieval Inquisition in the 13th century.[5] The Jesuits were in fact founded in 1534.

Here ya go,Poof!
Alberto Rivera (a former Roman Catholic Jesuit priest) stated, there is only one conspiracy and one conspirator. The Bible calls her MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (ref. Rev. 17:5). Notice that she is THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Today, "tolerance" is ostensibly about peace, but it is actually about war. People who proclaim it are amongst the most intolerant people that you can find on the face of the earth. They censor anything that they do not want to hear. They are totally intolerant of John 14:6. And this hatred that they possess under the mask of "tolerance" will escalate into an all out war against the saints (ref. Revelation 13:7).

All the fake ministry claims of "taking the world for Christ" are just that--fake. It is not going to happen. The ball is rolling and the coming of the Lord draweth nigh; but first we have to go through some deep waters. Prepare yourself, fellowsoldier.
