Why are Christians so boring?

Why do you think Christianity actively discourages personal development?

If you expect the lives of others to entertain you, and can't find enough interesting things to do to keep you occupied, then you may be the boring one.

Speak for yourself. I'm not boring. I think what you might be trying to say is that pleasures of the flesh are more exciting than compassion, helping others, prayer, meditation, and study of the Word. If one desires personal reward and fulfillment, Christ's message is the Way.

I don't think this is the case at all. It sounds like you need to get out and meet new people in a new environment, perhaps doing something you enjoy or perhaps if you find your friends to be boring, suggest and plan ativities that you think are fun. In no way whatsover does a person need to be boring to be a Christian. There are plenty of clean and family friendly interests and activities that one can engage in as a Christian. I think as Christians, we are more multi-faceted actually, because there is dimension to us, in acknowledging our creator and entertaining our spirit, not just our bodies and minds.
