I believe if I found myself in that position I'd be either admitted to heaven or a time in purgatory because of some of my beliefs, like homosexual rights, self pleasure, the bible fallacies, etc. Really, not believing in a God would be my only fallacy, and if I found myself standing before him I think I'd change my mind about it all, since there'd actually be evidence to believe.Christianity doesn't teach that anyone goes to Hell for not "accepting God". In fact, we're not even told to accept God anywhere in the Bible.
If you were to die today and stand before God, what do you believe His reaction would be? Would you go to Heaven or Hell?
Only Christians are allowed to post in topics other than ones they create themselves. It's fairly absurd though, because when I post questions in other topics relating to the same material the posts get deleted. I can understand not letting non-Christians answer, but I don't see why you should restrict further questions from being added on.
The rules of this particular section are:Well, if this thread was meant for Christians only, it ashould have been made in the Christians only area of this site.

Really? So if you killed someone and came to the realization that you were wrong, then you shouldn't be forgiven???So any person who believes in God and Jesus goes to Heaven, no matter how bad a person they are?
Sorry, but I just don't think that a rapist, mass-murdering kitten killer who believes is going to heaven when an atheist who supports his local community, donates to charity and gives without thought of payment is headed to hell.
Sorry, but you wouldn't get that chance. Once you die, your chances die with you. Either you believe and are saved, or you reject and are hellbound.I believe if I found myself in that position I'd be either admitted to heaven or a time in purgatory because of some of my beliefs, like homosexual rights, self pleasure, the bible fallacies, etc. Really, not believing in a God would be my only fallacy, and if I found myself standing before him I think I'd change my mind about it all, since there'd actually be evidence to believe.
There are a couple of denominations in the Protestant/Christian faith that condone the behavior. That doesn't make it right or wrong, but they have another interpretation of the Scriptures. You support Homosexuality. If you engage in male male sexuality Yah make it clear that he will kill your soul. Check out ezk 18. It spells out clearly what is expected of you.
Hey, I did not make the rules, He did.
There is no hell of eternal torment in the Torah. There is death. I guess that makes me in favor of the annhilationist viewpoint.
Really? So if you killed someone and came to the realization that you were wrong, then you shouldn't be forgiven???
Didn't Christ come for the sins of ALL people? No where do you find in the Bible that there are restrictions on forgiveness.
ALL WHO BELIEVE WILL BE SAVED!
If the True God was as you describe, then that is a very unloving God.
Think about it.
A boy grows up in an abusive home, his views on life become perverted and he becomes a rapist and murderer. While in prison, he is given the Gospel and repents.
Tiberius's God would send this man to hell. But the Trinune God would lovingly forgive him.

A very good example.
But what if he never found God? What if he comes to regret what he did, and is truely and deeply sorry for killing and raping, but he stays an atheist?
Would your god send him to heaven for that, or to hell?
The god of those who the opening poster was talking to would send this man to hell.
Firstly, there are many passages that say non-believers will never get to be with God and should be shunned and even killed, such as 2 John 1:7, 2 John 1:9, 2 Cor.6:14-17, Dt.13:6-10.
And I can't tell you how many times that I have heard Hell described as a separation from God. Don't these passages indicate that unbelievers are indeed going to hell?
And about not being told to accept God in the Bible? I believe you are forgetting the second commandment
I believe that any fair god would send me to heaven, as I have tried to be the best person I can be. I do not hurt people, or steal, or anything that hurts others.
Why do you say we are born knowing God exists? If that were true, there would be no atheists, polytheistic religions, and there would be a good change everyone would agree on the same deity. I don't see where the reason or evidence is for this.
Salvation requires faith not realization that what you do is wrong. We ALL do things wrong. We all lie, cheat, steal, are selfish, lust, gossip. Some murder with their heart, others rape, some torture.
While for you and me, certain sins are more grevious then other, for God ... all sin is equally grevious. So my selfishness is just as bad as the next person's murder. Sin seperates us equally from God and only faith in him joins us together for eternity.
RE: what if he never found God
We all know that there is a God. We are born with that knowledge. This is why even the most desolate of tribes worship a god. If a person lives here in America, I can assure you that the Gospel has been presented to that person sometime in their lives for them to either believe or reject. But for those who have never heard. Romans ch 2 says that salvation will be accounted to them based on their works.

Actually that is exactly what it means. I don't understand how you are able to reason it out that they don't believe a God exists? God is not in the hearts of all men, you must be saved for the Holy Spirit to come into you. He can reveal Himself Spiritually, but it is not innate to have God in you, just your conscience.Umaro,
I don't believe in Atheists.
Seriously.
Atheists reject God, that doesn't mean that they do not know that a God exists. Look at the world. Even those most hidden of tribes worship something. God is in the hearts of all men, although his revealed truth may not be known to them, they are born with a knowledge that he exists. Just looking at the world tells us that there is a higher power.
Ultimately, IMO, there is no such thing as an atheists because man was not made to not believe in God but can reject only reject God.
Even Romans Chapter 2 tells us that the law is written on the hearts of all men.
Hmm, I'm an atheist, and I don't think a God exists...wow, this is the first time I've ever been told someone doesn't think I exist. If I was just rejecting God, I would admit he existed and then deny him outright. Almost every culture in the world has near identical vampires somewhere in their history, so does that mean humans are born with an innate belief in them?Umaro,
