  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is written "The Father himself judges no one, but has left all judging to the Son" And in another place, Jesus says he judges no one...?

So who's Judging?

Comments?

God Bless!

This is referring to who has eternal life both now and for eternity. It is not a blanket statement against judging for the Bible calls us to judge but in accordance to what the Bible has to say on a matter. We are called to judge anothers behavior so we can go to them when we see they are going down a wrong path ; judging is the most misunderstood issue in Christiandom , it is often a common retort so a persons immoral behavior can be justified , and it is whats brought down America to a level of anarchy and a don't-care lifestyle which harms people by the multitudes (1 in 4 Adult Americans having at least one STD and 4000 developing Humans being murdered in the womb DAILY for birth control).

Atheist Mass Murderer , Stalin, said the demise of America will come when there is a spiritual decline (compromise with the culture), a patriotic decline (dismissing what our Founding Fathers taught as truth), and moral behavioral decline (not caring anymore between right from wrong and living for Self).

This is America today, isn't it ? Start judging and warn people of their error before its too late for them. Peace, Dave

Which verses specifically are you referencing? What is their context? If you're thinking of the same passages I'm thinking of, Jesus was talking about what he will do on the last day for one, and for the other, he was speaking with other people about what he was doing in his earthly ministry and how he was relating to people in a given circumstance.

When Jesus came the first time he judged no one; when he returns he will be the judge.

Acts 10:42
He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

Acts 17:31

For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.

Romans 2:16
This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

2 Timothy 4:1
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:
