  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Excellent show! I loved it! It captured the original feel - can't wait to see what happens! Cassandra, the last human really grossed me out tho.
Yes but as Rose said, she really wasn't human. I liked the Forest of Chem (sp?) and how the Doctor appears to be the last Time Lord.

I also enjoyed these characters not that I would call Cassandra human either. But i wasn't too happy that he was the last time lord. I don't know why I was bummed out but I was. considering that I've seen each and every episode from Hartnell on up to McCoy (missed some of those), I liked that he was part of 'active' race of beings.

I also didn't like how they handled his 'regenerations', in other words, there were none that we could discern. The doctor regenerated 8 times prior to this guy and most of them would have showed up during research like that other guy did. He showed each one looking the same for like 100 years. But we fans know better and that was a let down. I would love to have seen them show photos of each of the past doctors just to provide some show continuity.

Other than that...I enjoyed it. I got such a tickle out of hearing the old TARDIS noises and the theme song. I liked this doctor though missed the flambouyant or unique costumes he wore in the past.

Yeah! I thought they were going to do the same thing! I was very dissappointed when they didn't.

Such great characters they were too, both on the show and in person. Tom Baker was sort of like his on screen character. Colin Baker was very different but extremely nice. Sylvester McCoy was a real hoot! Patrick Troughton was very very pleasant (though, sadly, he was not feeling all that well at that time and passed away very soon thereafter).

FAVORITE DOCTOR anyone??

Mine would be Doctor #6 (Colin Baker) but Doctor 7 (McCoy) is a very close second.

He is probably the most well-known doctor
Watched that show as a kid too!

Nope, I meant Colin Baker (Doctor #6) who I met several times in person. Tom Baker was Doctor #4. You are right. He was the best known and probably the most liked of all the doctors. But I still liked Colin Baker the best.
