  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The show started out with all three guys singing together... I honestly don't remember what song, but it wasn't that swell. :p After that they all performed their original ones they did on the original song episode, and then there was a performance by LeeAnn Rimes  After a couple million more commercials, the Warren Brothers performed their song about not selling a lot of records, but selling a lot a beer which had pretty good lyrics and guitar in it, but I don't care much for their voices. The lady who thinks she's a Merle Haggard fan slipped into a pair of overalls and smashed a washboard in imitation of the great finalist and Billy the Butthead played the Ukalaylee while George, Matt and Brad judged. Matt was absolutely hillarious... I advise you to find a replay of the show just for the sake of seeing that. ^_^ Then they announced the guy with the least ammount of votes from last week. And they let Matt go. Then it really got cheap. I don't remember what song Canyon performed, but it wasn't that great. Then Brad Cotter went up and played "The Waiting" by TOm Petty. Now, I'm probably the biggest and youngest TOm Petty fan on this side of the state, but when it comes to country music, I like COUNTRY music. But obviously I wasn't screaming loud enough at the screen for anyone to hear me because Brad Cotter ended up winning it all. What a shame. :sigh:

I liked all three of them. Honestly I knew Matt wasn't going to win. As much as I like him. And I know everyone else out there liked him. But they forced him into singing songs he didnt fit. He was so much better singing those songs that made you laugh. But as one of the judges said "You see him as a opening act" and I agree 100%. Brad and George both rocked. Brad has a very good voice. I'm sure George will get a cd out.
