Who Won the CNN Debate?

Trump. Easily. The substance and truth of what they said didn't matter. Trump sounded vibrant, Biden sounded weak and raspy. The Democrats really need to talk Biden into stepping down at this point.

The pitch of his voice seemed lower than usual. What can cause a voice to drop, aside from a virus?

For me, I wanted to know how Biden handled the debate, whether he seemed sharp and capable.

Biden had 8 days off, nothing but extra rest and debate prep to get through 90 minutes and I'm calling it a failure.

He started out the debate mumbling, mumbling the whole way to the podium... I didn't take this as a good sign. I don't know about anyone else.

As the debate progressed he started acting tired, and was rambling on far more and the moderators stepped in on more than one occasion to stop him from making a fool of himself.

I honestly don't think he's running the country right now... I don't see how anyone thinks he is.

Let's face it, Obama is in his 3rd term or someone else is running the show because the Biden I saw tonight after 8 days of prep is incapable of it.

At his age? Anything from inclement weather to getting out of bed to fast in the morning.

Trump easily won, but it seems to me that both men surpassed expectations. The question is, "Why did Biden debate?" He is in mental decline, so why debate? Ironically, the new debate rules benefitted Trump. It allowed Biden to talk, and he simply does not have the mental acuity to ad lib for two minutes at a time. Often he just forfeited large amounts of his allotted time.

Maybe he was sleeping right before the debate, to make sure that he was well rested after the rigors of vacationing at Camp David.

To his credit, maybe his coaches told him to speak as little as possible. He didn't stumble and bumble through his thoughts as much as he often does; and he managed to make it through the debate without falling down.

I've seen several news sources say people from the campaign have told them that Biden had a cold, though this information wasn't given to them before the debate.

Outperforming in a debate means you were able to defend your points and made a good argument for your side.

It doesn't matter if you like the position, Donald Trump won the debate. He did a better job defending his position and making his arguments.

If through no other means, Trump won because Biden exhibited in spades what's been said about him being frail and cognitively challenged. The democrats can no longer claim that's not the case with any credibility.
