Who Should Control the city of Jerusalem?

When Jordan had control of Jerusalem it destroyed much of the Jewish quarter, and levelled many synagogues. When the Jews retook it in 67, they not only left the Muslim holy places alone, and the muslim quarter alone, they eventually gave the muslims control of the temple mount.

The muslims many times throughout the centuries have destroyed churches all over the Holy Lands - the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for example is a much newer version of it old self because of Muslim destruction. The muslims turned the upper room into an islamic shrine. They destroyed nearly every church in the lands when they had control of Palestine.

What do the Israelis do? They allow access for all peoples to all Holy sites. I have spent a great amount of time there over the last 2 years, I have yet to be hassled or have problems in Israel. I had great problems and great hassles in Jordan, for just one example.

As to the point of the original post, Jerusalem should absolutely be in Israeli hands.

Mine is a God of love so I have a much more hopeful desire. The ''real'' Word of God says there will be highway of blessing from Eygpt to Assyria and they will bless Israel. It says that ALL the nations will be blessed in Israel. There will be no more murder when the hatred of Israel ceases. All the world will know peace and Jerusalem will be a blessing in the Earth when the King of the Jews reigns upon the throne of ISRAEL.

Today, most likely true. When there are entire generations of Palestinians who have grew up with nothing, in poverty, oppressed, persecuted and beaten down by Israel I’m sure they will not be quick to forgive.

But Israel has no one but themselves to blame for that. They have created the situation, breed the hatred though circumstance. Jews lived in Palestine long before Israel, peacefully and co-existing with Muslims. Millions of Jews lived though out the Muslim world…. Israel changed that all. Israel has caused more damage, more hardship, more destruction to the Jewish community than anything else.

If anyone has a reason to dislike Palestinians it is me, but no matter what Israel is doing to them is wrong. Is the rest of the ME perfect? Nope, but the root of the problem is ISrael and the greatest evil in the situation is Israel. Eliminate that and all the other problems can be solved.

You will be pleased to know that the Bible prophesies this precisely. You may not be pleased to know that God will exact judgment on those countries and on those who took pleasure in Israel's plight. You might try reading Isaiah and Ezekiel and Zechariah. It won't be a pretty position to be in.

Yes we all know you and the small group of fundamentalist sects hold some belief though twisting and misinterpreting scripture that the modern, secular and socialist state in Palestine that calls itself "israel" has something to do with the bible.

Unfortiantly the reality is very different as the prophesies concerning Israel are not to do with this totally unrelated nation which bears the historic name, but with "Israel" itself, which is the body of all Christians, the chosen people (those who accept Christ) with Jesus as our temple.

Why you think a nation of white European settlers, running a socialist nation comprised of mostly atheists is something to do with the bible baffles me.
